Vessels Different One From Another

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Good morning F____,
Sandi and I took a trip this past weekend to meet with some brothers and sisters in Christ in Knoxville, Tennessee, and in Boone, North Carolina. It was a wonderful blessing from beginning to end. There was one couple we had never met before, but as always, it was as if we had known them for years. Like you and me. I still haven’t met you and yet I know you better than I know many people who I have met many times. I know you because you know Christ, and since we both know Him, we know each other. It is a wonderful and an important Truth.

Joh 17:3  And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

I am as excited as you about seeing the different members of the body of the Christ, communing with and ministering to and nurturing each other.

1Co 12:12 For even as the body is one and has many members, yet all the members of the one body, being many, are one body, thus also is the Christ.”(CLV)

(REV) For, just as, the body, is one, and yet hath many members, but, all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so, also, the Christ;-

You talk about a doctrine that was an earthquake in my life, this “the Christ” of Christ doctrine, was just such a spiritual earthquake for me.
I rejoice with you in the joy you are expressing as you come to know others who are a part of the body of the Christ of Christ. Yes, indeed we are “filling up what is behind of the sufferings of Christ, and while it is true that there is pain in those sufferings, it is also true that there is joy in knowing why we suffer, and in know what will be the end of those sufferings:

Luk 6:22  Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.
Luk 6:23  Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

“Rejoice you in that day” is the day in which “men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.” So we have a lot to “rejoice” in because that certainly is the case for any and for all who are faithful to the words of Christ.
You mentioned my stance for the truth of Rev 1:3. I took the time to click on this google link on the right side of my screen: Revelation solved in epic  Google always gives you links that are in some way connected with the content of your letter. This guy, David Allen Rigsby, is apparently an Australian who has figured out the meaning of the book of Revelation. He is so excited about his theory, and I am sure many others will agree with Him.
Here is a cut and paste from his promo:
“Finally, the true interpretation of the Bible’s prophecy books,
including
Revelation, and other mysteries of the world.
Learn answers to questions like:
Who built the Giza Pyramids and Sphinx… how and why?
When will the Antichrist and False Prophet appear?
Were there giants in our past?  Are there Titans in our future?
What does Lucifer, the original flying Serpent Cherub, look like?
What really wiped out the dinosaurs?  Is Evolution a lie?
Who is God and where is Heaven located?  What are UFO’s?
When will the final Apocalypse or Armageddon happen?
When will the seven- year Tribulation begin?”

It is all the typical past and future approach to the revelation of Jesus Christ. God simply has not opened David Allen Rigsby’s eyes to see verse three of chapter one. He has so much invested in this book and screenplay that he could never, of himself, extricate himself from the deception he is in. He cannot see verse three of Revelation one. Just like you and me in our time, this man is blinded to the words in that verse. This entire book is ‘without’. It is past or it is future, and therefore not for David Allen Rigsby. His part in this book has been taken away and the plagues in this book have been increased:

Rev 22:18  For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Rev 22:19  And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Rev 22:20  He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
Rev 22:21  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

It is a sad truth that when we “add to the sayings of the prophecy of this book” we automatically also “take away from” what it is saying, so that we automatically lose our part in this book and have our part in the plagues increased.
We are all guilty of doing just that, and we all live all these words in our time. It takes a miracle to open our eyes to see the things of the spirit and to keep our spiritual eyes on those spiritual things.

1Co 2:6  Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect [ being perfected]: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
1Co 2:7  But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery , even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
1Co 2:8  Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
1Co 2:9  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1Co 2:10  But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

Eph 1:17  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
Eph 1:18  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
Eph 1:19  And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us- ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

This knowledge will puff us up as babes, but it is not something that puffs us up after we come to see just how uninvolved is our flesh. It is very humbling to know that our election is on the backs of all the rest of mankind.

Rom 11:30  For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:

After we are humbled, then God through Christ can and will use us as Christ’s  Christ, to show to the rest of mankind the same mercy that was shown to us…:

Rom 11:31  Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

Why God has seen fit to enlighten the eyes of our understanding only He knows, but it is not for any glory in this life. It is for being rejected in this life by all who cannot see that we must “keep the sayings of the prophecy of this book and live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.”
I am so thankful that there are a few scattered brothers that have been placed all around the world to encourage each other through this life of trials. You are just such a brother and I am thankful that God has put you in my life.
Mike
