E_Sword Wigrams And The Holy Spirit

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

What I recommend for using either of these two study aids is the spirit of God. Without God’s spirit, all the time in the world will not bring one to the knowledge of the Truth. The spirit of God, of course, is not something that I, or any man, can give to you.

I do not recommend relying on Strong’s definitions when using either e- Sword or Wigram’s. The only way to know what a word means is to see how it is used in scripture. When you see that the words “Bread from heaven” actually refer to Christ, then you never allow that Truth to be taken from you. The bread is Christ. It may become “leavened” and be made into “another Christ,” but it is still a symbol for Christ.

Wigram’s or e- sword both will give to you every single appearance of this word ‘bread’ in the scriptures. The only safe way to understand any word is to read those entries. It is through constant prayer and diligent study of how God’s spirit has seen fit to use a word that reveals the mind of the spirit in regards to any word or phrase used in God’s Word. This requires a divine miracle to remove the blinders which are equally miraculously given to us while we are still in the first Adam. We all are born with miraculous blinders that keep us from seeing the plain statement that “I am God… I create evil” (Isa 45:17). These supernatural blinders are aided with the lies of historical orthodox Christian doctrine. But for a very special very few God performs another miracle. He removes those supernatural blinders and gives to us divine revelation. He supernaturally gives to us “eyes to see and ears to hear… the things of the spirit.”

What this all boils down to is that God is sovereign, both over the light and over the darkness:

Isa 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things

Do not trust the definitions given on e- sword. Look to the Word of God. Only He can give you eyes to see.

I pray God on your behalf, that He will do just that and that you will begin to have a hunger for the things of the spirit, that will give you the interest to read the entries for any word God gives you a desire to understand. If I can be of any use in this process, please let me know.

1Co 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

We are actually saved “by the foolishness of preaching.”
