“Divine Order In Creation And Scripture” – Part 9c
“Comparing the dimensions of the ark
and the bride of Christ who will be made ready”
[Study Aired October 15, 2026]
In this last section, “Part 9c”, we’ll be looking at the numbers that are used at the point when ‘the waters asswaged, and the fountains also of the deep, and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained’. All of these things had to happen in order for the Ark to come to rest “in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat”.
This section, talking about the ark and how it correlates with the bride of Christ, will involve our looking at chapter 8 of Genesis, (Gen 8:1-22). God’s mercy is being demonstrated by the resting of the ark “upon the mountains of Ararat”, which symbolizes our coming to rest in the Lord, which happens when we put off our flesh, as was typified by everything that was destroyed by the flood, by the fountains also of the deep, and the rain from heaven that was finally restrained of (Gen 8:2).
Gen 8:2 The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;
Gen 8:1 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;
What a comfort to know that God “remembered Noah”, a shadow that God is mindful of His elect right now, who are the apple of His eye (Psa 8:4, Zec 2:8 , Psa 17:8). Christ is the author and finisher of our faith and the trying of it that was symbolically coming to an end for Noah and his family as “The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained; And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.”
It takes the spirit of God working in our heavens, symbolized by His making “a wind to pass over the earth”, to bring the calm in our lives, the peace that passes all understanding that is such a precious and rare gift that God gives to the body of Christ (Psa 107:21-30 , Php 4:4-7 , 1Pe 5:10-11).
Psa 107:27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end.
Psa 107:28 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
Psa 107:29 He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
Psa 107:30 Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.Php 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
Php 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
Php 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Php 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.1Pe 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. (Gen 8:4)
1Pe 5:11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
God remembering not just Noah, but every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark is a shadow of how His mercy extends to all of His creation, and in time every beast that we are likened unto will be saved by God (Eph 2:8 , 1Co 15:22).
Gen 8:2 The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;
Gen 8:3 And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.
God stopping the windows of heaven and the fountains of the deep symbolizes that the word of God has accomplished what God purposed it to do in our hearts and minds. For the world of Noah’s day it destroyed all living things, which symbolizes the destruction of our old man of sin. It takes his destruction to bring forth healing, and the fruit of that healing is represented by those who were on the ark who were now coming to a place of rest after “the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated”. 150 typifies the process of judgement (3) that is multiplied by 50. His judgements in our heavens is what will calm the storms that He raises (Heb 12:6 , Tit 2:11-12), leaving us with great joy and peace represented by the number 50, the number of liberty, the jubile (Lev 25:9-10).
This process of judgement and liberty are the elect’s first, as shown in these verses (Gen 7:24 , Gen 8:3 , 1Ki 10:29 , 1Ch 8:40 , 2Ch 1:17 , Ezr 8:3 , Neh 5:17):
Gen 7:24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days…
…Gen 8:3 And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.1Ki 10:29 And a chariot came up and went out of Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, did they bring them out by their means.
1Ch 8:40 And the sons of Ulam were mighty men of valour, archers, and had many sons, and sons’ sons, an hundred and fifty. All these are of the sons of Benjamin.
Gen 8:4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.
This part of Noah and his family’s journey represents a stage of completion (especially of judgement) using the number 7 (“in the seventh month”), and 17 (“on the seventeenth day”, signifying divine intervention in pivotal events), which numbers point to the reality that we must go through much tribulation, 40 days and nights of rain (Act 14:22), and endure these times of our trials on the unstable waters of the sea (Jas 1:12), to finally see the curse of flesh, or the sea having dominion over us, come to an end, because He has brought us to our safe haven mount AraratH780 that represents Christ who reverses the curse in our lives by blessing us to rest in Him, and rule over our flesh (Rom 8:32-35). This ark sitting on “the mountains of Ararat” correlates with Christ’s words in (Mat 16:18), the church being the ark that is resting on the rock Jesus Christ who reverses the curse of our life by living His life within us (Gal 3:13 , Gal 2:20).

Gen 8:5 And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.
The waters are continually decreasing and going into the earth is a positive symbol of how when we are sanctified by God’s word (Joh 17:17) we will begin to see the “tops of the mountains”. Those tops of the mountain in the positive view represent Christ and the body of Christ the church that has been washed with the word and is now able to understand His wisdom that is very high (Isa 55:9). The 10th month represents the zenith of the flesh and the 1st day of the month represents unity that comes to the body of Christ when we are all on the same foundation, that being Christ who is typified by mount Ararat.
Joh 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
Isa 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Gen 8:6 And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made:
It is after the tribulation and trials that we go through represented by the number 40 “that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made”, that open window representing knowledge increasing as a result of the much tribulation He and his family had endured. It is one window which represents Christ who is the one who brings light into our heavens, into the ark, and calls us the light of the world “A city [church] that is set on an hill cannot be hid”(Joh 9:5 , Mat 5:14).
Gen 6:16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
Gen 8:6 And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made:
Gen 8:7 And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.
Gen 8:8 Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground;
Gen 8:9 But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.
The dove that represents Christ and the church in this world finds “no rest for the sole of her foot” (Mat 8:20).
Mat 8:20 And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. (1Jn 4:17)
The raven on the other hand “which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth” is able to survive off of the ark even in these post flood conditions, and foreshadows that Satan is still the god of this world who also goes “forth to and fro”(Job 1:7).
Job 1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
The dove represents the elect who can only find their true rest in the Lord symbolized by Noah who “put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark”(Joh 6:44), reminding us how blessed we are to find our safe haven in Christ (Heb 10:25) even while we live in a world completely blinded and deceived by Satan (2Co 4:3-4 , Php 2:15 , Luk 8:10).
2Co 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
2Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.Php 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
Luk 8:10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know (Eph 2:8) the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.
Gen 8:10 And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark;
Gen 8:11 And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.
Gen 8:12 And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more.
The dove represents Christ and his body, the church, and the symbolism of the dove resting 7 days on the ark before being sent out again, reminds us that the Lord is our sabbath rest who we enter into every day of the week and not on any one particular day (Gal 4:9-11).
Gal 4:9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
Gal 4:10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.
Gal 4:11 I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.
The dove comes back in the evening with a olive leaf plucked off, and this symbolizes how Noah and his family who are a type of the church can now go forth in peace, a peace that God gives to His children in this age (Joh 14:27-31).
Joh 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you:(Php 4:7) not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Joh 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
Noah seeing this dove with an olive leaf in her mouth symbolizes the word of God that is now in our hearts and minds, and because Christ has prepared our hearts in this world we can be sent forth one last time now, being in the world but not of it (Joh 17:16-17), going forth to do the works that He has ordained for us from the foundation of the world (Joh 20:21 , Joh 3:17).
Joh 20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Gen 8:13 And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.
Gen 8:14 And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried.
It is in year 601 (of Noah’s life) in the 1st of the month on the 1st day that the waters were dried up from off the earth: The symbolism of 601 at this point in the story reminds us that there is unity 1 at this stage for Noah and his family who can now go forth and be fruitful and multiply as Adam and Eve were told. There are three one (1)’s mentioned to remind us that this is a process of judgement that continues into this new chapter of our life (600 = 6×1010). The covering being removed from the ark is symbolic of a new beginning, and that this flood that it typical of a baptism has served its purpose so that they can take away the veil or covering from off the ark or the church that is able to go from glory to glory in the Lord having that veil of darkness lifted from us (2Co 3:14-16).
2Co 3:14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
2Co 3:15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
2Co 3:16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
It’s in the 2nd month and on the 27th of the month that the earth dried. The 2nd month is the number of witness that tells us that it is Christ who takes away the destructive forces in our lives via his judgements [2+7=9 judgment] in our heavens (2Ki 25:27 , Eze 29:17 , Heb 12:6 , Tit 2:12-13).
Gen 8:14 And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried.
2Ki 25:27 And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, that Evilmerodach king of Babylon in the year that he began to reign did lift up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison;
Eze 29:17 And it came to pass in the seven and twentieth year, in the first month, in the first day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, [that He would give the land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon as judgment against the Pharaoh and all of Egypt]
Gen 8:15 And God spake unto Noah, saying,
Gen 8:16 Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons’ wives with thee.
Gen 8:17 Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.
Gen 8:18 And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him:
Gen 8:19 Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark.
Gen 8:20 And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
Gen 8:21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
Gen 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
As God’s elect, we must continue to know that there is no good thing within us and that sin is going to “multiply upon the earth” without Christ giving us dominion over it. In the positive view of bringing forth fruit, it shows us that the dominion that God gives us over sin makes it possible for us to bring forth much fruit (Joh 15:5-8) through God who gives us the increase through Christ “and multiply upon the earth”.
The last statement of chapter eight in Genesis, “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease”, reminds us that the fields are white (Joh 4:35) but will not be reaped or judged (1Co 6:3) until the appointed time in the lake of fire, which is when God will destroy the old foundation of mankind [120](Gen 6:3) to have the world come to rest upon the new foundation that is represented by the symbolic number 144,000 [12x12x10x10x10]. The 3 tens in this equation reminds us of the needed process of judgment that the elect will minister in the lake of fire (Rev 20:14), and the 2 twelves is a witness that this was all accomplished by Christ in us, the cornerstone who is our foundation 12 that the church is built upon (Eph 2:20 , Mat 16:18).
“Day and night”, will not cease under these yet carnal circumstances “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease”, but when God is finally all in all (1Co 15:28) the night won’t exist, which represents spiritual blindness (Rev 22:5).
1Co 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
Rev 22:5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
