Divine Order In Creation And Scripture” – Part 9

“Comparing the dimensions of the ark and the bride of Christ who will be made ready”

[Study Aired October 1, 2026]

In this two-part study we will look at these verses, (part 1 Gen 6:1-16, part 2 Gen 7:1-24), which talk about the construction of the ark and the circumstances that surround this period in the bible. There are many numbers we can consider in both chapters six and seven of Genesis, and our goal is to understand what those numbers mean for us specifically today, and how these prophecies of the old covenant are written for our sakes upon whom the end of the ages are come (1Co 10:11, 1Pe 1:12). Starting with Genesis chapter six!

Gen 6:1  And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
Gen 6:2  That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they
were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

These first two verses are a typical statement of how we all go into Babylon, “the daughters of men”, and then ‘come out of her my people’ in this life, if God permits (Rev 18:4, Mat 22:14).

Gen 6:3  And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

The first number in question is our first foundation in Babylon, symbolically represented by 120 years, which represents the marred-in-the-hand-of-the-Potter flesh that has to be made anew, each man in his own order [12×10=120]. God is not going to continue to strive with man’s faulty foundation, but in time will save all men upon the foundation of Jesus Christ using the body of Christ (Mat 16:18) who have been redeemed from the earth (Rev 7:4, Rev 14:3, Rev 21:7) 12x12x10=144,000.

Gen 6:4  There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them [false doctrine], the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

What we bear while we are in Babylon with “the daughters of men” is false doctrines. Those are the giants in our land that become huge idols of our hearts, that if God is calling us out of Babylon, will one day be meat for us (Num 14:9).

Gen 6:5  And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

There is a promise of liberty in the churches of this world, “the earth”, where there is no liberty (2Pe 2:19), and by God’s grace we ‘come out of her my people’ because we’ve been granted to see and hear the truth, and recognize the man of perdition on the throne of our own hearts, which can only be destroyed by the brightness of Christ’s coming into our lives (2Th 2:4-8). The wickedness is great in our earth when we come to see the truth and “every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually” because our thoughts are not yet subject unto Christ at that time in our walk, and we think that we have free will, and our righteousnesses have not yet been revealed to be nothing but filthy rags in God’s sight (Isa 64:6).

Gen 6:6  And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
Gen 6:7  And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.

This statement is the prophecy of how God will no longer strive with the flesh of mankind that we just read in (Gen 6:3, Jer 18:4-6). The destruction of the flesh of mankind, “both man and beast”, typifies the destruction of our old man of sin. The start of the new man that is formed in the church, typified by Noah and his family, comes about as a result of the destruction of the old. The family of Noah repopulate the world that becomes corrupt again. The world’s baptism with water is typified by the flood that destroys mankind. That flood does not change the heart of mankind, however, the destruction of the world with Gog and Magog leading the charge from the four quarters of the earth against the camp of the saints, brings about a baptism of fire which typifies the conversion that will happen in the lake of fire that follows this event. Every man has to be baptized in water and in spirit, and so God has these two colossal events occur [the flood of Noah’s day and the Gog and Magog rebellion] that bookend this point that Christ spoke of in (Jhn 3:5).

Jhn 3:5  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Gen 6:8  But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

This verse typifies (Eph 2:8), which talks about the free gift of salvation which salvation was naturally being displayed via the family of Noah. All 8 of his family represents the new man who is miraculously saved by being raised above the waters which symbolizes the putting off of flesh as we are raised in heavenly places in the Lord (Eph 2:6).

Noah and the Flood

Gen 6:9  These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Noah typifies the chasteness of the bride of Christ prepared for her husband (2Co 11:2), whose physical lineage was pure, as ours now is spiritually in the Lord (Rom 8:1)], “and Noah walked with God”. Walking with God is symbolic of being led by the spirit of God, and where the spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. This liberty blesses us to be sent of God “to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.” (Rom 8:14-16, 2Co 3:17, Jhn 4:38).

Gen 6:10  And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

These three names represent the process of judgement that the body of Christ must go through to inherit eternal life. If we start off with “Shem”, whose name means ‘shame’, as we come to see ourselves as the chief of sinners, then our goal is to seek a new country whose builder and maker is God. The name “Ham” means ‘his descendants or his country’, and then “Japheth” which name means ‘prosperity’, typifying the abundant life (2Co 4:15, 1Ti 1:14, 1Th 4:7, 1Pe 5:10, Mat 13:12) that we are called unto in Christ, which comes about when we repent of our sins and keep seeking the kingdom of God first and His righteousness, having respect unto the recompense of the reward (Rom 2:4, Heb 11:26-27).

Gen 6:11  The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

“And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives [the many wives that typify the churches of Babylon today], they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.” (Luk 17:26-28). God will flood the world again but this time with the word of God via the saints during the thousand year reign (Hab 2:14) and then all the earth will be purified in the great white throne judgement, lake of fire, second death resurrection.

Gen 6:12  And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

We just naturally corrupt our way upon the earth because our flesh is corrupt and there is no good thing within us (Rom 3:10, 1Co 15:50). Only Christ can ultimately stop that process of self righteous corruption (Rom 8:9, Col 1:27, 1Pe 4:1), otherwise it leads to death and not to the abundant life that can only be found in Him (Pro 16:25, Jhn 14:6).

Gen 6:13  And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

God knew the hour when the flood would come, and knows when the end of this age will come (Mat 24:36) that we’re living in. The physical destruction of all flesh does not repeat to the degree it happened in Noah’s day, but we are told this, “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.”(Mat 24:22) The judgement that is upon the house of God preserves the world from being destroyed and is one of the reasons the elect are called ‘the salt of the earth’ (Mat 5:13), salt which naturally preserves animal flesh (Rom 1:20). In time, God will deeply impress on the world the importance of His children who because of the righteousness of Christ found within them and not the iniquity that has filled the world (Gen 15:16, Php 3:9), we’re used to physically spare the world from utter destruction, and then the same saviours will save the world spiritually through the lake of fire, great white throne judgment, the natural event preceding the spiritual (1Co 15:46). The last earthly example of ‘the sins of the Amorites filling the earth’ will be with ‘Gog and Magog’ (Gen 15:16, Rev 20:8). Being destroyed “with the earth” is a shadow of the truth that our own wickedness will correct us (Jer 2:19).

Jer 2:19 Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.

Gen 6:14  Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
Gen 6:15  And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
Gen 6:16  A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.

These are the symbolic dimensions of the ark that describe what must occur in the body of Christ in order for the elect to be in that blessed and holy first resurrection: Noah’s Ark was 300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high, roughly equivalent to 510 feet (155 meters) long, 85 feet (26 meters) wide, and 51 feet (15.5 meters) high. These numbers, 300, 50 and 30, are the ones we need to consider.

300 cubits long is the process of judgement that is upon the body of Christ from start to finish of our flesh, [50 Jubile x 6=300].

The width is 50 cubits which is the narrow part of the ark that represents the narrow way by which we will be saved by grace through faith (5×10=50, Mat 7:14).

The 30 cubits height represents the increase in our lives that comes as a result of the judgement of our flesh as we decrease and Christ increases, which is a gift from God (Jhn 3:30, 1Co 3:6).

The three measurements add up to 380 cubits, which remind us that the new man in Christ, 8, is formed through God’s judgments in the earth, 3, that bring us to come into the same unity in Christ by understanding the length, the breadth and the height of the church, that is likened unto Noah’s ark (Eph 3:18).

The gopher wood must have had the right qualities to resist water [false doctrines the world] and being a type of the body of Christ the ark had many rooms which we liken unto the many members of Christ’s body. The material of gopher wood had to have had the correct building qualities to withstand the much tribulation that was going to come upon this vessel, all symbolic of the body of Christ (Act 14:22). The pitch would have been a very labour intensive material to apply to the ark and would take a lot of diligence and close examination to make sure that there were no open spaces or schisms on the ship (1Co 12:25, Heb 12:15). The pitch was applied within and without reminding us that we must examine ourselves daily within knowing and proving to our own selves that we are in the faith (2Co 13:5) and the pitch on the outside symbolizing that we are to cover each other’s sins and be the light of Christ to this world by demonstrating our love to one another, which is demonstrated in obedience to God’s commandments (Jhn 13:35, 1Jn 5:2).

Gen 6:17  And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
Gen 6:18  But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee.

This is a prophecy of how God is going to bring His word upon the earth through the church (Eph 3:10) that will reshape the earth as the flood did in Noah’s day. This reshaping of the earth by the flood typifies men learning of God’s righteousness on the earth, and that word will not return void but will be purified in the lake of fire one day (Isa 55:11). All men must be baptized with water and spirit, the natural preceding the spiritual. The 1000 year reign is the natural judgement with the rod of iron on the earth. The symbolic number of 1000 symbolizes this natural process of judgment on the (10) earth x (10) earth x (10) earth = 1000, the time that law has to rule the lives of mankind. True conversion can only happen in the lake of fire, and the dimensions of the ark typify the judgement that has already occurred within the body of Christ, the new man being represented by the eight souls on the ark. This is what “But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee”, typifies.

Gen 6:19  And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
Gen 6:20  Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.

The ark is likened unto the church or temple of God that we are, where we are being blessed to bring all soulishness into subjection unto Christ, represented by “of every living thing of all flesh”, the ‘beasts’ of (Ecc 3:18). It is Christ who is giving us the victory over our flesh, which victory is typified by each beast of every sort being brought into the ark 2 by 2, meaning by the true witness Christ, 2, who alone can give us victory over our sinful beastly flesh. The fact that they are male and female is to show that the offspring of those beasts will also in time need to be brought into subjection to Christ, each man in his own order. The initial or preeminent beasts that are brought into the ark typify those who have been given dominion over our beastly nature in this age, that being the body of Christ (Eph 2:8).

Gen 6:21  And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.
Gen 6:22  Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

These final verses we will look at remind us that we are to labour for the meat that does not perish (Jhn 6:27, Mat 6:19-21), and that our labours are not in vain and will sustain us spiritually on this earth during that time that, after we have done the will of God by building the ark, which Christ built through the body of Christ, we now have need of patience. The “word of my patience” (Rev 3:10) is likened unto this food on the ark – Rom 15:4-5, Jas 1:4, Jas 5:10-11, Rev 1:9, Rev 2:19. We live off of those things that we have laid up in store on the ark (Heb 10:3, Heb 12:1, Luk 21:19). What this obedience of Noah typifies in making provision for the ark is mirrored with the thought in the book of Malachi where we are told to bring our tithe, meaning our whole life, into the temple as an offering unto God where we feed each other (Rom 12:1-2, Jhn 6:55, Eph 5:30).

Rev 3:10  Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Rom 15:4  For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
Rom 15:5  Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:

Jas 5:10  Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
Jas 5:11  Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

Rev 1:9  I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Rev 2:19  I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

Jas 1:4  But let patience have her perfect work [preparing the ark], that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. (Psa 23:1-6)

Luk 21:19  In your patience possess ye your souls.

Heb 11:7  By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, (Heb 5:7, 1Jn 4:17) prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
