Those Who Died Under The Old Covenant

Hi J____,

According to Christ there is no one ever born of women who is greater than John the Baptist. Yet “he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than John.” (Luk 7:28 For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.) “David… a man after God’s own heart… is not in heaven.” Why is that? It is because “the law and the prophets were until John, but grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ. (Joh 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.)

All the ‘grace’ mentioned in the Old Testament was like the “bread from heaven” mentioned in Exo 16:4. It was only ‘bread from heaven’ in type and shadow. It “was not the True Bread From Heaven.” Christ is the True Bread. There was no salvation before he came. “David is not in heaven.” Christ is, and only those in Him are the true “seed of Abraham.” All of the Old Testament saints will come up and be judged in the great white throne judgment. It is then that they will be “graffed into their own olive tree.”

Rom 11:24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?
Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

Only after “the fulness of the Gentiles, is brought in” will the Old Testament saints and “all of Israel,” who have either never known or else have outright rejected Christ, “be brought in.” This will be accomplished through those who are now “receiving His mercy.”

Rom 11:30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
Rom 11:31 Even so have these [ all Israel, Old Testament patriarchs and saints and prophets included] also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
Rom 11:32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
Rom 11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

So truly “David is not in heaven… [ and] He that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than John,” who is “greater than all men born of women.”

Here are the verses:

Act 2:34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
Mat 11:11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
Joh 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ

I hope this has answered your question.

Mike
