The Fate of The Dead

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Hi J____,

Having believed in hell fire for many years, I am well aware that the “enemy who came and sowed tares among the wheat” was “an evil spirit from the Lord” which sowed that tare within me, while I was in “the world”, which is “the field.” ‘The world’ and ‘the tares’ are my own time spent in “the world” of Babylon, and “the harvest” is the day of judgment at “the end of the world.”

Mat 13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
Mat 13:39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

Upon whom have “the ends of the world come?”

1Co 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

That is right, the “ends of the world are come upon us,” and “judgment is now on the house of God”, and the tares are now being gathered to be burned out of all upon whom the ends of the world and “the harvest” and the day of judgment have come.

1Pe 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Since we all “live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God,” we are all “carnal babes in Christ who “believe in Him,” and at the very same time want to kill Him because we are all “of our father the devil” long before we become the children of God.

Joh 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

Joh 8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
Joh 8:44 Ye [ who “believe on Him”] are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Christ called His own disciples “out of the world” of His day.

Joh 17:6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.

It was “the world” of orthodox Judaism which typifies “the world” of orthodox Christianity today. The tares must “grow together until the harvest” at which time they will be gathered together first and burned out of you and me.

Mat 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

1Pe 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

1Pe 4:17 For the time is come that judgment [ the gathering and burning up of the tares within us] must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Peter here tells us this “fiery trial” takes place while judgment is on the house of God. I for one, can vouch for the fact that the tares were burned out of me and are still being burned out of me daily.

1Co 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

This is the “baptism of fire” of which John the baptist spoke:

Mat 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

In other words, for this time, the kingdom of God truly is within:

Luk 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Luk 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

What do the parables do? They hide from the multitudes of world, those who come to Christ, who listen to His parables, who eat His loaves and fishes, “the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven:”

Mat 13:10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
Mat 13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

The “them” Christ refers to in this verse is this very minister to whom you are witnessing. This minister has never seen that Christ is saying that the multitudes have been blinded by God, and have not been “given to understand the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven.”

Here is our Lord Himself, telling us that it is “not given to the multitudes who come to him to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven [which He tells us] is within you.” There, too, in John 8, is our Lord Himself telling us:

Joh 8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

… and this:

Joh 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw Greek, drag] him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

This world believes that the scriptures teach that ‘some of thy word is truth.’ But such is not the case. What the scriptures do teach is that “The sum of thy word is truth.”

Psa 119:160 The sum of thy word is truth; And every one of thy righteous ordinances endureth for ever. (ASV, CLV and Darby)

Until we are given to see that there are no verses of God’s word which contradict other verses of God’s Word, we will never understand Psa 119:160.

But that will never happen until we are given eyes to see that the word ‘aion,’ means age, and that an age can be one day, as it is for some infants, or it can be 969 years, as in the case of Methuselah. But it has nothing at all to do with time in perpetuity or endless time.

When the disciples asked Christ, “What will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the world,” they actually asked Christ “What will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the aion?” That verse alone reveals to those given eyes to see the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, that the word aion has and end, and when we are told that “We were called in Christ before the world began,” we are actually being told that “We were called in Christ before times eonian,” which reveals to those given eyes to see and ears to hear the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, that aions have a beginning.

But it has not been given to this minister to even be affected by all of these truths. He cannot come to the Christ of the New Testament “except the spirit drag him,” at that is simply not taking place as of the writing of this letter.

So yes, you are right. Verse 29 is a commandment:

Mat 13:29 But he saith, Nay; lest haply while ye gather up the tares, ye root up the wheat with them.
Mat 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather up first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn.

That is an outward application, but it certainly applies outwardly. Until God drags this minister to Him, this man to Himself He cannot come to God, and until He is given eyes to see and ears to hear, then He, just like the “Jews that believed on Him,” he “cannot hear what Christ is saying.”

Joh 8:43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

Christ did not say ‘Lazarus is in heaven.’ He did say, “Lazarus is asleep.” Christ did not tell His disciples ‘You chose me of your own free will.’ He did tell them…

Joh 15:16 Ye did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that ye should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should abide: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

Christ never taught that people would burn in hell for ever, but He did warn us all about the aions that would be spent in “Gehenna fire,” which fire is the same fire as “the fire that tries every man’s works,”

1Co 3:13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.

It is the exact same fire that is to try us. After all we are part of “every man…” and Peter tells us that we will all endure this same ‘fire’.

1Pe 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

Yes, a sign that says “Beware of the dog” can be followed by a dog that really does bite, but a scripture which warns us that “The wages of sin is death” is nowhere ever contradicted by another verse that says that ‘death means eternal life in literal flames’. It is nowhere ever to be found. It is a hideous false doctrine that blasphemes the good name of a loving heavenly Father.

But the sum of God’s Word does teach us this:

Eze 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

And this is what the scriptures teach us of the dead:

Ecc 3:19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.

And this:

Ecc 9:2 All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath.

And also this:

Ecc 9:5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
Ecc 9:6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any [thing] that is done under the sun.

Ecc 3:20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.

And this:

Act 2:34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

And this:

1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.
1Co 15:24 Then [ cometh] the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

And again:

1Ti 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

And this:

1Ti 4:10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

And this:

2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us- ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

And…

1Jn 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

When God drags this minister to acknowledge the sum of His word, then he will come to you and ask you to show him the mysteries, the secrets of the kingdom of heaven. Until that time nothing you or I do to show Him these wonderful, loving truths will have any positive affect upon his blinded mind. Here are Christ’s own words concerning the orthodox ministers of His own day. They are every bit as applicable today:

Joh 9:39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
Joh 9:40 And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?
Joh 9:41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.

Your minister friend proclaims his own sight, so his blindness remains and his blasphemy against a loving heavenly Father also remains.

I hope this helps you to see that we really are to live out the words of Christ, and just as you and I have had to do so, this minister also must “let both grow together until the harvest.” God’s fiery judgment is on the house of God first, so if God sees fit to open this man’s eyes, then he too will have tall these false doctrines burned out of Him, just as they were burned out of you and me.

Your brother in Christ,

Mike
