Isa 60:1-8  The Sea Shall Be Converted Unto Thee…

[Study Aired May 31, 2020]

Isa 60:1  Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
Isa 60:2  For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
Isa 60:3  And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
Isa 60:4  Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.
Isa 60:5  Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.
Isa 60:6  The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD.
Isa 60:7  All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.
Isa 60:8  Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?

This is not just a prophecy of “the kingdoms of this world becoming the kingdom of our Lord and His Christ” when Christ appears to assert His sovereign power outwardly at the beginning of the thousand-year reign (Rev 11:15). These verses are applicable for each of us at this very moment. These very edifying words have a present application as the ‘is, was, and will be’ words of our Lord.

This is what the Lord is telling us about what we have been through and where He has brought us to be at this very moment if Christ has taken up His abode within us:

Isa 60:1  Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
Isa 60:2  For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

We are all “the old… first man Adam… Gentiles… [of] the darkness [which] covers the earth”, and we are all in “gross darkness” until the Lord comes to us and drags us out of that “gross darkness” and into the bright light which is on the opposite side of the same ‘Cloud’, which hides Him from our view until the pre-ordained time He has sovereignly set for us to begin to “come out of [Babylon]… every man in his own order”.

Exo 14:19  And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:
Exo 14:20  And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.

Joh 6:44  No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw [G1670: ‘helkuo’, to drag] him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

1Co 15:22  For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Co 15:23  But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.

1Co 15:45  And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

We must all ‘fulfill [in our lives] the seven plagues of the seven angels’ before the Lord begins to judge Babylon within us:

Rev 15:7  And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.
Rev 15:8  And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

Therefore, this is what must be fulfilled within each of us before Babylon will begin to be judged within us:

Rev 16:1  And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.
Rev 16:2  And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.
Rev 16:3  And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.
Rev 16:4  And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.
Rev 16:5  And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.
Rev 16:6  For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.
Rev 16:7  And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.
Rev 16:8  And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
Rev 16:9  And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
Rev 16:10  And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
Rev 16:11  And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.
Rev 16:12  And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
Rev 16:13  And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
Rev 16:14  For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
Rev 16:15  Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
Rev 16:16  And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

The Seventh Vial is the beginning of the judgment of Babylon within us:

Rev 16:17  And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.
Rev 16:18  And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
Rev 16:19  And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
Rev 16:20  And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
Rev 16:21  And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

This chapter of the revelation of Jesus Christ within us must be fulfilled before this prophecy of Isaiah will have any personal application to any of us. When it is fulfilled within us then:

Isa 60:3  And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
Isa 60:4  Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.

Our natural man does not see this happening either to us or to Christ. While Christ was here in the flesh neither the Jews nor the Gentiles “came to [His] light. “Kings… [did not] come… to the brightness of [His] rising”.

However, our ways are not His ways and our thoughts are not His thoughts:

Isa 55:8  For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Isa 55:9  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isa 55:10  For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
Isa 55:11  So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

One of the most repugnant “ways” of the Lord to our flesh is the value He places on us learning patience and waiting on Him and His schedule. We want what we want, and we want it right now. To quote one very well-known prosperity minister, “If I hear one more word about waiting to get to heaven to receive my blessings, I am going to pull my hair out. I do not want my pie in the sky by and by, I want my blessings now!”

Now look at the verses which immediately precede the revelation that our ways and thoughts are not those of the Lord. It is the same promise we are being given here in Isaiah 60:

Isa 55:5  Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.
Isa 55:6  Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Isa 55:7  Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

That Babylonian ‘prosperity minister’ who wants all his blessings right this moment is speaking for the old man within all of us. We are all first the prodigal son who demands his inheritance right this moment. If indeed ‘the Gentiles are going to come to our light, and kings to the brightness of our rising’ we don’t want to have to endure the seven plagues of the seven angels before that happens, and we certainly do not want to die and be “crucified with Christ before that happens. We want everything promised to us right this very moment.

Therefore, we are blinded to this very clear statement:

Luk 20:9  Then began he to speak to the people this parable; A certain man planted a vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen, and went into a far country for a long time.

The “far country” is the distance between “the heavens and the earth” and between “[our ways] and [the Lord’s] ways”. The phrase “for a long time” speaks to possessing our souls in our patience. We cannot over emphasize the Truth of this statement of our Lord:

Luk 21:16  And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
Luk 21:17  And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.
Luk 21:18  But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
Luk 21:19  In your patience possess ye your souls.

It requires each and every one of the seven angels, culminating with an earthquake so strong that another earthquake of that magnitude will never again be needed, and then it requires 70 pound hailstones to crush and “sweep away the refuge of lies” before any of us “come to ourselves… come to our wits’ end”, and cry out to our merciful heavenly Father to save us from our self-righteous selves and change us and deliver us from the marred vessel He first causes us to be.

Let’s get all those Biblical Truths together and see and perceive the order of events which the Lord Himself is working within each of His “kings and priests” whom He has ordained from “before the world began” to rule and reign with Him a thousand years before placing us as the judges of the great white throne judgment:

Psa 107:24  These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.
Psa 107:25  For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.
Psa 107:26  They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
Psa 107:27  They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end.
Psa 107:28  Then [and not until ‘then’] they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
Psa 107:29  He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
Psa 107:30  Then [and only then, after the seven plagues have done their work in our lives] are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
Psa 107:31  Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
Psa 107:32  Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.

Isa 63:17  O LORD, why hast thou made us to err from thy ways, and hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants’ sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.

Luk 15:11  And he said, A certain man had two sons:
Luk 15:12  And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.
Luk 15:13  And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, [same “far country” as Luk 20:9] and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
Luk 15:14  And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
Luk 15:15  And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine [Babylonians].
Luk 15:16  And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.
Luk 15:17  And when he came to himself, [came “to his wits’ end”] he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
Luk 15:18  I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,
Luk 15:19  And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.
Luk 15:20  And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
Luk 15:21  And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
Luk 15:22  But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
Luk 15:23  And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
Luk 15:24  For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

Rev 16:21  And there fell upon men a great hail out of heavenevery stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

When each of us experiences our own “great earthquake” and when the plague of hail wipes away the refuge of lies of great Babylon, only then our ‘beast’ begins to be judged within us. Only then, at that time, will we experience the joy of the promises of this prophecy, first within and in time without also, when we are given to show others the mercy we are now being shown:

Isa 60:5  Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.
Isa 60:6  The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD.

What does “the sea” signify in scripture? If the invisible things of God are understood by the things that are made, what does ‘the sea’ signify?

We are told that the beast with seven heads and ten horns comes up out of the sea?

Rev 13:1  And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
Rev 13:2  And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

Even the churches of Babylon consider this seven-headed beast to be “the man of sin” who is worshiped by the whole world:

Rev 13:3  And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
Rev 13:4  And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

It is few indeed who recognize that this ‘beast’, this ‘man of sin’, is the carnal mind within each of us. When the Lord opens our eyes to see that “[we] are the temple of God” (1Co 3:16-17), and it is we who presumptuously sit in the temple of God (2Th 2:3-4) claiming that we are God and demanding that we serve our own self-righteous selves and be obedient to our own Babylonian doctrines which deny the truths of the Word of God. While the churches of Babylon cannot discern who this ‘beast’ is that comes up out of the sea, they do discern that He is a man and not a fish. So, it is obvious that “the sea” which produces this beast, and upon which Babylon the great herself sits, is the “peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues” of all mankind. That is the conclusion of the angel who shows us these things:

Rev 17:15  And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

So the inward application of “the sea” which will be converted to us is that we are the first to die to our own rebellious carnal mind, and then it will be given to us  to destroy the carnal minds of all men of all time in the great white throne judgment/lake of fire/second death.

A couple more verses which will demonstrate that the sea is the masses of mankind is:

Psa 104:25  So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.
Psa 104:26  There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.

Dan 7:2  Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.
Dan 7:3  And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another. [A lion, a bear, a leopard, and “a fourth beast dreadful and terrible”… the dragon of:

Rev 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.]

‘Leviathan’ is generally understood to be symbolic of the adversary, and the scriptures here in Psalms 104 tells us this monster was made by the Lord to play in the “great wide sea”, which we are told is from whence the beast arises and is empowered. Notice that the four beasts of Daniel seven are one composite beast in:

Rev 13:1  And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
Rev 13:2  And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
Rev 13:5  And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
Rev 13:6  And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
Rev 13:7  And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
Rev 13:8  And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

“The sea” is obviously the symbol of the masses of mankind who are dominated by the great whore who sits upon the beast that comes up out of ‘the sea’.

The promise that “the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto you” must be and is being accomplished within us in this age or else we will not be the judges of the thousand-year reign or the judges of the white throne judgment. It is our carnal passions, our lack of patience and all our false Babylonian doctrines within our carnal minded old man… “the sea” which at this very moment is inwardly being converted unto us. When “the abundance  of the sea is converted unto [us]”, it not signified by the nomenclature, “lake of fire”. Rather it is our “fiery trial” of this age, the judgment of those in the first resurrection, which judgment is now on the house of God, and is called  “a sea of glass mingled with fire”.

1Pe 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
1Pe 4:13  But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed [at the first resurrection, Rev 20:5-6], ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

1Pe 4:17  For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
1Pe 4:18  And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
1Pe 4:19  Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

Rev 15:1  And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God [the “fiery trials” of “this present time” (Rom 8:18)].
Rev 15:2  And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name [in “this present time” (Rom 8:18)], stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

It takes a fiery experience indeed to melt the sand of the sea into a sea of glass mingled with fire.  When that ‘fire’ has begun it work within us then all the energy that fueled our lusts and passions is, through Christ in us, now being converted into an evangelical desire to be the light of this world as was our Lord. Our lack of patience with others as well as a lack of patience with our own faults and weaknesses, bows to the knowledge that it is the Lord who truly is “working all things after the counsel of His own will for our good if we are “the called according to His purpose “:

Rom 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Eph 1:11  In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

It is all the passions of our flesh, along with all the false doctrines and idols of our hearts, which the Lord uses to raise up the stormy waves of the sea, and bring  us to our wits’ end (Psa 107: 25-27). Those same passions are now allied with the Truths of the Word, and through the indwelling of Christ and His doctrines within us, is being used by the Lord to burn those carnal desires and false doctrines and idols of our hearts out of us. The stormy sea is being conveyed to us by the fiery words of Truth which are daily purging and purifying our heavens. In His time and on His schedule “the sea” will eventually cease to exist, when the great white throne judgment and its “lake of fire” have purged out and burned up all the lies of the carnal mind in all men and in all powers and principalities visible and  invisible, in heaven and in earth:

Col 1:20  And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

When “all… things in earth, [and all] things in heaven [are] reconciled unto Himself” then the scriptures which are fulfilled in every man who enters into the temple in heaven in every generation will have a consummation of the ages fulfillment, and at that time we are promised:

Rev 21:1  And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Rev 21:2  And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:3  And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Rev 21:4  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Rev 21:5  And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

These are all the words of Christ which are true and alive and powerful to the tearing down of strong holds in every generation. “The holy city, New Jerusalem” is just another name for the Lord’s elect in every generation since Christ. It is another name for those who will rule the nations of this world for a symbolic thousand years, and who will be raised up to life in the “blessed and holy first resurrection”, as opposed to being raised to judgment:

Joh 5:22  For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
Joh 5:23  That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
Joh 5:24  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Joh 5:25  Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
Joh 5:26  For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
Joh 5:27  And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.
Joh 5:28  Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
Joh 5:29  And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the [first] resurrection of life [at the beginning of the thousand year reign of “the Lord and His Christ”]; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation [the great white throne judgment].

It is to “the bride, the Lamb’s wife” to whom:

Isa 60:7  All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.

It is “the house of my glory” of whom the Lord poses this question:

Isa 60:8  Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?

This is the answer to that question. This is “the clouds” by whom the Lord will “rule the nations”:

Job 36:26  Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.
Job 36:27  For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof:
Job 36:28  Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly.
Job 36:29  Also can any understand the spreadings of the clouds, or the noise of his tabernacle?
Job 36:30  Behold, he spreadeth his light upon it, and covereth the bottom of the sea.
Job 36:31  For by them [the clouds] judgeth he the people; he giveth meat in abundance.

The rebellious carnal mind which “cannot be subject to God” is “their kings” in these verses which proclaim “the honor” to be given to all “those who are given a part in that blessed and holy first resurrection” (Rev 204-6).

Psa 149:5  Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.
Psa 149:6  Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;
Psa 149:7  To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;
Psa 149:8  To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;
Psa 149:9  To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.

Here are those “by [whom] He judges the people”:

Rev 20:4  And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Rev 20:5  But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Rev 20:6  Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

That is the answer to the question posed in our last verse:

Isa 60:8  Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?

“These that fly as a cloud, and as doves to their windows” are those “blessed and holy… few chosen… [who are granted to] “have part in the first resurrection. It is they “[who] shall rule and reign with [Christ] a thousand years”, and to whom “the sea shall be converted [and who will have] executed upon them the judgment that is written”. “This honor has all His saints [of] this present time” [Rom 8:18].

That is our study for today. Here are our verses for our next study in which we will be showered with the honor of being called “the city of the Lord, the Zion of the holy one of Israel”:

Isa 60:9  Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.
Isa 60:10  And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.
Isa 60:11  Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.
Isa 60:12  For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.
Isa 60:13  The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
Isa 60:14  The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
Isa 60:15  Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.
