Identifying Trees – Part 2, Good Works and Evil Works

[Study Aired December 24, 2021]

Let’s look at the dream of Pharaoh. First, there were GOOD kine and then EVIL kine. Then there where GOOD ears and then EVIL ears. In the spiritual sense, that which we see as GOOD WORKS is evil, because we base them as from us. Then that which is EVIL WORKS, God sees as good because it destroys all we think is ours. He uses sins of the flesh to mar and destroy what we see about ourselves as good, and He calls that process good.

Gen 41:1  And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river.
Gen 41:2  And, behold, there came up out of the river seven well favoured kine and fatfleshed; and they fed in a meadow.
Gen 41:3  And, behold, seven other kine came up after them out of the river, ill favoured and leanfleshed; and stood by the other kine upon the brink of the river.
Gen 41:4  And the ill favoured and leanfleshed kine did eat up the seven well favoured and fat kine. So Pharaoh awoke.
Gen 41:5  And he slept and dreamed the second time: and, behold, seven ears of corn came up upon one stalk, rank and good.
Gen 41:6  And, behold, seven thin ears and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them.
Gen 41:7  And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full earsAnd Pharaoh awoke, and, behold, it was a dream.

What the Pharisee in us sees as good, God sees as evil. What the Pharisee in me sees as evil, God sees as good because He must work the works of God in us by using that which is evil to the flesh. Throughout my own personal life, starting at around 15 or 16, I have made SEVERAL altar calls and several baptisms. Each time I was determined that I was going to shape up and be a good person. Each time I had been deceived into believing that I was going to do right by God and MAKE HIM PROUD. Each time my good acts of worship were diminished, trampled on and completely eaten up by my evil works, what I saw in religion as the evil kine, the evil ears. When looking at it from the eyes of the Spirit, the Truth, what was evil, was sent for my good to rob me from taking credit for what I had thought was mine – good works. What I saw as evil, God saw as good.

Gen 50:19  And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God?
Gen 50:20  But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

The evil kine ate all the fat kine which I thought I had fattened up by my good works. God Himself sent the evil kine because He was judging me for the evil of what I called good kine and good ears. It’s the reverse of how the flesh sees things. Each time “Pharaoh AWOKE” to the truth that what was good was devoured by that which is evil, but what was evil was sent from God as good to eat up what I thought was good. Then you have the multiplying of the literal Israelites, the evil kine/ears, that ate up all that the Egyptians, good kine/ears, they thought was good.

Exo 1:1  Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with Jacob.
Exo 1:2  Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah,
Exo 1:3  Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin,
Exo 1:4  Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
Exo 1:5  And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already.
Exo 1:6  And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation.
Exo 1:7  And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.
Exo 1:8  Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph. [Once all the good that the Egyptians thought they were are being consumed by the evil Israelites, a new king appears; one that sees all this as evil.]
Exo 1:9  And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we:
Exo 1:10  Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land.
Exo 1:11  Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.
Exo 1:12  But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.
Exo 1:13  And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour:
Exo 1:14  And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour.

I take this thought and apply it to how I see my worship of God before He dragged me to the truth. Since that time He has eaten up all that I thought I was, all my “well favored kine and fatfleshed” and “seven ears of corn came up upon one stock, rank and good”. In the completion (seven) of my “fatflesh” and “rank and good” God sent the “leanfleshed” and “seven thin ears”, works of the flesh to consume all I thought I had accomplished. In essence He exposed the good works as works of the flesh and works that needed to be destroyed before He began to bring me out of Egypt through judgments of my fleshly old man, who thought he was good and the truth was evil.

Mat 23:13  But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
Mat 23:14  Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
Mat 23:15  Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
Mat 23:16  Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!

These “woes” are to be seen as the judgments of God upon our “fatfleshed kine” – the way God destroys what we call good and what we call righteous. He is in the process of destroying and tearing down what we saw as good religion and building up a temple where He sits as King and LORD.

Mat 23:37  O Jerusalem, Jerusalem [see your name in there], thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! [we would not because we saw the truth as evil]
Mat 23:38  Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. [prophesying of the leanfleshed kine and thin ears that will devour what I saw as good.]
Mat 23:39  For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. [“You are not going to see Me as Who I am until you see Me as destroying all your works by devouring them in evil works that will work for the good” – as God sees good. Then starts the next chapter with the disciples showing Christ the temple, which temple which we think we created, the well-favored fatfleshed kine/ears, and Christ announcing judgment on that temple, the fatfleshed.]

Mat 24:1  And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple [where and who is the temple (1Co 3:16) that Christ departs from?]and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
Mat 24:2  And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. [“not left here one stone upon another” is what Christ said in the last verse of chapter 23, “behold your house is left to you desolate”, house being our temple.]

In essence Christ is telling them, “Don’t look at what you have built because all of it will be torn down before it can be rebuilt.” Again, this is the parable of the kine and ears. Everything you thought as holy and good was evil, and what you saw as evil is GOOD. If we take this thought and apply it to how we see the literal world, we will see the destruction of the fatfleshed by the leanfleshed. It is leanfleshed because there is nothing good to be seen in the works of the flesh God uses to break us down.

Gal 5:19  Now the works of the flesh are manifest [manifest-revealed as hanging fruit that tells me what kind of tree I am], which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Gal 5:20  Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Gal 5:21  Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

What this tells us is, “Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God.”

1Co 15:50  Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

And what is the kingdom of God?

Gal 5:22  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Gal 5:24  And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Gal 5:25  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Gal 5:26  Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another

Why didn’t Apostle Paul stop at verse 25 above?

“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit”.

What was it that the Spirit of God wanted us to know which was so important that He included verse 26? Read it again.

Gal 5:26  Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. [fatfleshed kine and ears]

That verse exposes the “fatfleshed kine” which must bring the works of the lean fleshed kine/flesh to destroy it. If we are envious, have VAIN GLORY and provoke one another by these things, we will be walking in the flesh and spiritually committing all the things listed in verses 19-21; “leanfleshed” kine sent to devour the hidden “fatfleshed kine” we think we are. Now look at the next few verses following verse 26.

Gal 6:1  Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
Gal 6:2  Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
Gal 6:3  For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
Gal 6:4  But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
Gal 6:5  For every man shall bear his own burden.

What fault is he speaking of which overtakes us? It is envy, vain glory of the flesh, religiosity, acts of the flesh that look religious but are in fact deeds of the flesh, adultery, fornication, lying, cheating, stealing are all against God for vain glory. In essence, the doctrines of Christ are the seven ill-favored, leanfleshed kine, and the seven thin ears that will appear when the Amorites are come to full completion, when the world in me has become the fatfleshed kine in religion in full, that needs to be ate up by the complete leanfleshed kine. All the religious works of the flesh will be eaten up by the works of the spirit. In other words, not one thing the world in us thinks is good will be left until all is destroyed, inwardly in us first, then outwardly in the world.

Mat 24:2  And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. [not one fatfleshed, not one rank and good ear]

Rev 2:26  And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
Rev 2:27  And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. [As He received of His Father to do to us, inwardly, so we will receive of Christ, our Father, to do to the world, outwardly.]
Rev 2:28  And I will give him the morning star.
Rev 2:29  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Then we must look at Nebuchadnezzar and see him as us in the flesh, us in the carnal religion we think pleases God. Here we see that all the Babylonian doctrines that are in us cannot interpret what the truth is, was and will be.

Dan 4:10  Thus were the visions of mine head in my bed; I saw, and behold a tree in the midst of the earth, and the height thereof was great.
Dan 4:11  The tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the end of all the earth:
Dan 4:12  The leaves thereof were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was meat for all: the beasts of the field had shadow under it, and the fowls of the heaven dwelt in the boughs thereof, and all flesh was fed of it.
Dan 4:13  I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and an holy one came down from heaven;
Dan 4:14  He cried aloud, and said thus, Hew down the tree, and cut off his branches, shake off his leaves, and scatter his fruit: let the beasts get away from under it, and the fowls from his branches:
Dan 4:15  Nevertheless leave the stump of his roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts in the grass of the earth: [leaving the stump of his roots is seeing God as the creator of the first tree, the man of sin, and then the second tree, the man of God. Seeing God as The One Who puts all men into power within me, He is The Root of all things in me and outside of me.]
Dan 4:16  Let his heart be changed from man’s, and let a beast’s heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him.
Dan 4:17  This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.
Dan 4:18  This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation: but thou art able; for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee.

Daniel, whose name means, “God is my judge”- H1841, represents the Holy Spirit of God Who shows us all things. The Holy Spirit is the truth of the words of Christ that interprets all that scripture has to say about the flesh and the fleshes good works.

Dan 4:6  Therefore made I a decree to bring in all the wise men of Babylon before me, that they might make known unto me the interpretation of the dream.
Dan 4:7  Then came in the magicians, the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers: and I told the dream before them; but they did not make known unto me the interpretation thereof.
Dan 4:8  But at the last Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods: and before him I told the dream, saying,
Dan 4:9  O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and the interpretation thereof.

The dream, what is given to us as truth but we cannot understand because it comes to us in darkness when we are asleep in false doctrine, tells us what the truth produces; the cutting down of all that we thought was good.

This is how we see ourselves and all the fruit the tree grows: “The fruit thereof was much, and in IT was meat for all.” What we think we understand we think will feed everyone around us and everything in us. My truth is all that the world needs, therefore I am Nebuchadnezzar, king of Egypt, king and lord of my world.

Dan 4:13  I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and an holy one came down from heaven
Dan 4:14  He cried aloud, and said thus, Hew down the tree, and cut off his branches, shake off his leaves, and scatter his fruit: let the beasts get away from under it, and the fowls from his branches:

All my good works are seen as filth to God and not worthy to stand before Him.

Isa 64:6  But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

What is the purpose of destroying what God has made me do in the flesh, if He in fact is the Creator of all of it? Because it is the plan of God to build us up in the flesh so He can then allow the seed in us to grow that thinks we are the creators of all that we are. He then destroys that first creation until the new creation understands this one point:

Dan 4:25  That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.
Dan 4:26  And whereas they commanded to leave the stump of the tree roots; thy kingdom shall be sure unto thee, after that thou shalt have known that the heavens do rule.

“Till thou know” and “after that thou shalt have known that the heavens do rule”, then will our kingdom be returned. However, the new kingdom sees things as all from the Creator and the creation as the beneficiary of God’s creation.

Dan 4:33  The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles’ feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws.
Dan 4:34  And at the end of the days I [Dennis-put your name in there] Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation:
Dan 4:35  And all the inhabitants of the earth [Jer 22:29-our earthare reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?
Dan 4:36  At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me.
Dan 4:37  Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase. [“I see men as trees, walking“, and they need to be abased Mar 8:24].

The sap that runs through our tree and produces the fruit before we begin our coming to the truth is pride, arrogance, highmindedness and greed, which result in adultery against God, stealing from God, and extortion from God; all the fruit of unrighteousness. We must know how to identify the tree that is growing in us by the fruit it displays. Only you can know what is in your heart, and only you can identify what has caused the fruit to grow. Is it seen as all from the Creator? Or do you believe you have something to do with it? Only you can answer those questions for yourself. The identification of what kind of tree we are will be exposed by the fruit of our lips. Is God the All, in my all, or do I have credit for some of it? Good and evil. Do I see God as “I AM THAT I AM” in every detail of my life, good or evil, or is He only THE I AM in what I see as good? The garden of Eden had one river running out of it, and it furnished the garden of Eden. The word “river” in this verse means;

H5104
נ הָר
na hâr
naw-hawr’
From H5102; a stream (including the sea; especially the Nile, Euphrates, etc.); figuratively, prosperity: – flood, river.
Total KJV occurrences: 119

This river flowed out of the garden of Eden and parted into four rivers.

Gen 2:10  And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads [main rivers or chief, high rivers-H7218].

While the first river that flowed from Eden supplied the garden of Eden with water and, as the definition said, was what caused the garden to prosper, the four rivers that came from that one river broke up into four different rivers. Here are the definitions of those rivers.

Pison – H6376- “dispersive/scatter”- “compasses the whole land of Havilah” (H2341), meaning, “to circle” and from the root H2342 – “to twist and turn”.
Gihon – H1521- “bursting forth”- which is said to “compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia, which means “black”-H3568
Hiddekel – H2313- “rapid”, which “goeth toward the east of Assyria” and Assyria means- H804 “in the sense of successful”- together they make “rapid success”.
Euphrates – H6578- rushing/faithfulness

When you put these four together you get a glimpse into what happens when we eat of our own tree, which we think is “the tree of knowledge” and stop feeding from the single river that gives us true prosperity in the truth. The following definition was put together from these definitions of the rivers by our Sister Brenda, and it is spot on. “God scatters the seed (after we have eaten of our own fruit, my addition), the seeds burst forth (break open) and rapidly (Rom 9:28) increase to a mature tree with lots of fruit.” This truth is what has happened from eating from our own tree thinking we have the knowledge of good and evil within us. We then are sent from partaking of the single river of prosperity, which is Christ, and we burst forth, drinking from four rivers where we rapidly increase into a mature tree that brings forth lots of thorny fruit.

Gen 3:17  And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
Gen 3:18  Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
Gen 3:19  In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

I must also note here that Sister Brenda also added these truths regarding the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

“The tree of the knowledge (singular – it’s a tree of KNOWLEDGE.  Knowledge puffs up???  Good and evil possibly a red herring???  When law is introduced, God blinds us by having us look left/right, good/evil (the LAW is introduced so sin may abound, further puffing us up) the tree grows and grows by being fed by the spirit of God.  When law is introduced, God blinds us by having us look left/right, good/evil, gorging ourselves on the fruit of the tree.  We get puffed up by eating all the fruit i.e. focusing/feeding on the fruit makes us the fat cows vs. skinny cows.  Then God replaces law with faith (giving us the KNOWLEDGE that HE alone is the source of the fruit), and the quick work of judgment by HIS righteousness (cutting down the tree) begins.  No tree (carnal mind), no fruit.  We’re no longer eating fruit but meat off of the felled carcass of the tree, our old man.  The temple is made of felled trees covered in gold”.

1Co 8:1  Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.
1Co 8:2  And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.

As the definition for the four rivers explains, when we are eating from our own tree, we are scattered abroad. We burst forth in our own works of the law of the flesh, thinking we are rapidly increasing with fruitfulness in knowledge that comes from us. The truth is that all knowledge and prosperity in knowledge comes from the SINGLE RIVER. The single tree of knowledge signifies that all knowledge comes from the Creator and not from us.

When I see the fruit of that tree as good for food, pleasant to my eyes and that it will make ME WISE, I eat it as though it is coming from me. This causes the desired effect, and I go into Babylonian doctrine. From here I am puffed up, rapidly grow in self-righteousness, burst forth in unrighteous fruit, and am scattered abroad in my own world that will continue to bring forth fruit of unrighteousness, thorns. The harder I work, the harder the ground becomes, and the next thing I know I am the biggest tree in my world.
