Deu 25:17-19 Blot out the Remembrance of Amalek

[Study Aired August 6, 2021]

Deu 25:17  Remember what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye were come forth out of Egypt;
Deu 25:18  How he met thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary; and he feared not God.
Deu 25:19  Therefore it shall be, when the LORD thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it.

The name Amalek means:

The following verse confirms this definition;

Num 14:25  (Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwelt in the valley.) To morrow turn you, and get you into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea.

The word “valley” means the following:

The valley of Amalek is spiritually, the valley of indecision and confusion, a deep profound pit that houses people in uncertainty and confusion. One more definition will help us understand who and what Amalek represents dwelling in the valley.

If we mix the teaching of what we have come out of with the truth, we will be in a state of confusion, we will be “dwellers of the valley”. If we mix the doctrines of Babylon with the doctrines of Christ, we will be rebelling against God as the Israelites did when they saw the people of the promised land and were fearful. To distrust God after He has led us out of Eygpt, the world, and then cower to the doctrines of Amalek, we are not seeing the truth of the power of God.

Num 13:25  And they returned from searching of the land after forty days.
Num 13:26  And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land.
Num 13:27  And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this  is the fruit of it.
Num 13:28  Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
Num 13:29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
Num 13:30  And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
Num 13:31  But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
Num 13:32  And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are  men of a great stature.
Num 13:33  And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

Num 14:1  And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.
Num 14:2  And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!
Num 14:3  And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?
Num 14:4  And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.
Num 14:5  Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel.
Num 14:6  And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes:
Num 14:7  And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land.
Num 14:8  If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey.
Num 14:9 Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not.
Num 14:10  But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the LORD appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.
Num 14:11  And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?
Num 14:12  I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of thee a greater nation and mightier than they.

Confusion comes from the lack of making a decision. Confusion comes from not trusting in God and attempting to mix the truths of God with the doctrines of Babylon, as the inhabitants of Babel did.

Gen 11:1  And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech [Spiritually speaking this is believing in yourself].
Gen 11:2  And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.
Gen 11:3  And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
Gen 11:4  And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
Gen 11:5  And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
Gen 11:6  And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
Gen 11:7  Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.
Gen 11:8  So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.
Gen 11:9  Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

God scatters the world and separates the elect from the world through confusion. God uses confusion to separate the wheat from the chaff. God says, “Do not fear”, but we listen to the world, and we fear. We mix the doctrines of Christ with the doctrines of Babel and are thrown all around.

Mat 13:10  And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
Mat 13:11  He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
Mat 13:12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

Mixing the truth with the doctrines of Babylon is mixing the holy seed with the unholy seed.

Gen 6:1  And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
Gen 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
Gen 6:3  And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
Gen 6:4  There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

As you can see, the sons of God, those who hold the truth or are of the truth, mix their truth with the daughters of men, of the flesh. From this mixing they bring forth mighty men of “renown”. This is the definitions of “renown”:

Isa 47:13  Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee.

The astrologers and star gazers are the children of the mixing. They are the “shaman” or the “astrologers” that we use from our own heavens who move us to act and move as they direct us. This is the confusion that is caused by mixing the sons of God with the daughters of men. Mixing the doctrines of Babylon with the doctrines of Christ produces confusion. We are being formed into the image of Christ, and Christ never wavered. He stood His ground and never was confused in Who His Father is, was and will be. In knowing that truth He was able to handle all circumstances that came His way. We are coming to know this truth about the faithfulness of God the Father, little by little, day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute. All false doctrine that is in us is taken from the valley and can be seen as coming from the valley.

Joe 3:2  I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.

Joe 3:12 Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.
Joe 3:13  Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.
Joe 3:14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.
Joe 3:15  The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.
Joe 3:16  The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

It is in this valley of decision that the Amalekites are destroyed in us, the elect. It is not a question of if they are going to be destroyed, but in fact they will be detroyed, as God The Father has said they would.

Num 24:20  And when he [Balaamlooked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be that he perish for ever.

“Amalek was first of the nations.” That in itself is a deep, profound statement, because it tells us right from the gate that we are in a place of confusion. From physical birth we are confused about what is what and who is who, so we start off crying. That confusion only builds as we grow because every day we are making decisions based on false pretenses. However, as the LORD has promised, He destroys Amalek with the understanding of The total sovereignty of God.

1Sa 15:2  Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt.
1Sa 15:3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.
1Sa 15:4  And Saul gathered the people together, and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand footmen, and ten thousand men of Judah.
1Sa 15:5  And Saul came to a city of Amalek, and laid wait in the valley.
1Sa 15:6  And Saul said unto the Kenites, Go, depart, get you down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them: for ye shewed kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt. So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.
1Sa 15:7  And Saul smote the Amalekites from Havilah until thou comest to Shur, that is over against Egypt.
1Sa 15:8  And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword.

Although Saul disobeyed and did not kill Agag and some livestock, the prophesy of killing all of the Amalekites was fulfilled, as you can see from the highlighted text above. We will not go into Saul’s disobedience because our subject is on the Amalekites. When we are delivered from the Amalekite spirit, we are given to trust in what the LORD has promised. We are not constantly tossed to and fro in our minds, but make decisions and trust that no matter what, God has our best in mind. This constant back and forth in our minds, thinking we are weighing matters when in fact we are not trusting God in the outcome, will only end up with the wrong outcome because all of it comes from the deepest valley, the deep pit of the bottomless pit.

Rev 20:3  And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

Rev 20:7  And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
Rev 20:8  And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
Rev 20:9  And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

He comes from the bottomless pit, the place where all individualism is created and all confusion is created. To believe in yourself, to trust in yourself as the world tells us, is to be an Amalekite. From that false doctrine will come confusion and failure. From that doctrine comes the idea that our flesh is renown.

The Amalekite doctrine puts us deep in the valley, in the bottomless pit, where we act as though we are lofty shaman, astrologers of our own future, able to predict the stars in our lives and set on course what we need to become men of great renown. This is what all mankind desires and what all those outside spiritual Israel will be taken by. When Satan is loosed out of the bottomless pit, it is for the last hoorah, the last battle where he exalts mankind against the priests and kings of God who have been ruling for a thousand symbolic years. It is the time of the end of all flesh, where all flesh will be destroyed and all mankind will be cast into the lake of fire where their carnal minds will be burnt out of them, and they will come to know truth. It is the time when all Amalekite doctrine, including their king, Satan, will be destroyed. He killed us in our weaknesses and when we had little strength.

Deu 25:18  How he met thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary; and he feared not God.

1Sa 15:8  And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword.

1Sa 15:32  Then said Samuel, Bring ye hither to me Agag the king of the Amalekites. And Agag came unto him delicately. And Agag said, Surely the bitterness of death is past.
1Sa 15:33  And Samuel said, As thy sword hath made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless among women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before the LORD in Gilgal.

All confusion, which brought tears and pain, will be gone, and they will come to see the total Kingship and LORDSHIP of God over all things in seeing the sovereignty of God over all things. We are privileged to come to know it now, in this age, if we are seeing it.

Rev 21:4  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

The death of the Amalekite spirit that killed us in our weaknesses will be gone and there will be peace in knowing God was always in control.
