Deuteronomy – Deu 24:7 Making Merchandise of People

[Study Aired June 18, 2021]

Deu 24:7  If a man be found stealing any of his brethren of the children of Israel, and maketh merchandise of him, or selleth him; then that thief shall die; and thou shalt put evil away from among you.

The beauty of scripture is that what it said in the old testament it says in the new testament. What was said in the literal is said in the new testament in the spiritual. The spirit, the words of Christ (which are spirit), give life to the old testament.

Joh 6:63  It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto youthey are spirit, and they are life.

What Christ has spoken has been added to over the years, and it has become brighter and brighter about Who God is, was and will be. Christ’s words, although as small as a mustard seed, have grown into this huge truth in my heart and mind. The small hidden seed of the total sovereignty of God has developed everything that has ever been or will be in my heart and mind. It has grown into a tree so big that ALL THE BIRDS, good and evil, all the spirits land on its branches.

Luk 13:18  Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it?
Luk 13:19  It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.

There is nothing that cannot land in this tree of truth, nothing. From the greatest acts of kindness to the greatest acts of evil, all lodge on the branches of this truth. If you remove one fowl, one thought, and claim it as yours, independent and separate from God the Father, you remove all the fowl; your tree is cut down. You cannot have a little sovereignty of God and ascribe to Him some things. Either He is the I AM THAT I AM, or He isn’t, and if He isn’t then your religion, your hope, is in your hands and you may as well keep using the phrase “luck”, because you will need it. In our scripture today there is no difference. Stealing a man and making merchandise out of him is what Babylon has been doing for years, from its conception. All religions, all denominations steal us and make merchandise out of us.

2Pe 2:3  And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

This is the spiritual fulfillment of the literal words of Deuteronomy 24:7. We are often made merchandise for those who are sent to draw us away from truth with “sentimentalities”.
The world has a knack about drawing us away from truth with heightened awareness of injustices; “brooding over life’s injustices” as though we are in control over them. It is through this brooding we are convinced we need to invade this country and that country, to make things right. The world system plays the instrument that draws the serpent out of our basket, and we go running like a calf to the feed trough, not knowing it is its last meal. We do this because we really do not believe the words of scripture. We really do not believe that God killed thousands of people in one event. We do not believe that God kills people every day, and all over the world people are suffering in the flesh, dying from sicknesses, murder, accidents in cars, buses, trains and airplanes. However, we don’t really believe that. We say we do, but really we try to protect God from these things we see as evil. Then comes the whisperer, who whispers in your ear, “That wasn’t God. That was man. Man did that, not God.” In that whisper we were just bitten with the poison of the asp that has taken our life, and we don’t even know it.

It is by our “excessive tenderness, excessive sadness” we are drawn away to worship the flesh and sooth ourselves with a god we have made up in our minds. We make up a god who floats around in sadness, always melancholy because his created people just won’t do what he says. He is so stricken with sentimentality over the plight of his creation because they keep hurting one another, and he can’t stop them. So we, in our honor, stand up for him and cry out about the injustices of society. If it’s going to be done, if justice is going to be heard, we must do it because the weak feckless god we have made up in our minds won’t do it. He’s too busy crying over the plight of humanity. “Where is his fire when we need him most?” we cry.
“…O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made.” (1Kg 18:26)
Maybe we have not yelled loud enough:
“…Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked. And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them.” (1Kg 18:27,28)
This false god who does not hear our cries of injustices is the god called Baal. He is a made-up god, who we make up because he is more like us in our fleshly desires and sees things the way we see them. You see, we don’t see the things the way he sees them, oh no! He sees the things the way WE SEE THEM. If we see an injustice, it is because we believe it is an injustice. What about these scriptures?

Luk 13:1  There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
Luk 13:2  And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?
Luk 13:3  I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Luk 13:4  Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
Luk 13:5  I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Or these:

Deu 7:2  And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:
Deu 7:3  Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.

Or these;

1Sa 15:3  Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.

Or these:

Rom 9:13  As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
Rom 9:14  What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.
Rom 9:15  For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
Rom 9:16  So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
Rom 9:17  For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
Rom 9:18  Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.
Rom 9:19  Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?
Rom 9:20  Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
Rom 9:21  Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

We, as fleshly carnal people, really do not believe that God kills people by the thousands EVERY DAY. We cannot conceive this, and we don’t. I remember when I watched my dad die from cancer, and I watched a man who was 6 foot 2 weighing 270lbs shrink up to a body of bones so skinny I could lift him up off the sheets by myself. I remember, after his death screaming at the god I worshipped, screaming obscenities at him for LETTING my dad die. You see I needed him more than my god did, but in my false religion, my god was so merciful that he would not allow the injustice of cancer to take my dad. I was lied to! The cancer which took my dad was not an injustice. It was mercy from the One and only God Who took my dad at a young age of 63 so that he did not store up more things to have burned out of him in the lake of fire. That’s called mercy.
We yell and scream at what we see as injustices, but in truth we have no idea what an injustice is, and the yelling is just to cover up our hidden lies. We are so caught up in our Facebook and tweeting that we can’t see our face in front of us. We watch people every day send their parents to places with nice sayings, like “a place for mom”. Aw, ain’t that nice?! We put our elderly in places because we are so caught up trying to keep up with Joneses that we have two and three jobs to keep the big house and nice new cars. We justify it by saying it’s best for them! No, that’s a lie, it’s best for us because we don’t want to wipe their rears, we don’t want to handle their dementia, we don’t want to lose our big house and nice cars. Billy’s in football, Suzie’s in cheerleading, and we have to pay for their entertainment or they’ll have to go back on Ritalin.
We put the elderly away because we don’t want the burden of them, it’s too much for us to handle, so we place them in these horrible places and SEAR our conscience from the nagging truth that we are too selfish to take care of them. Then we have the audacity to cry about injustices in the world. This is being made merchandise of, this is being taken and sold. Babylonian doctrine has been offered to us, and we bought it. Scripture tells us to not get involved in the world.

2Ti 2:4  No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
2Ti 2:5  And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.

Seems pretty straight forward to me. We do get involved in the world because we need the comfort of self-righteousness to make us feel good about ourselves. So, we cry aloud about the injustice of animals being abused while at the same time we abort hundreds if not thousands of babies a day. Nevertheless, we saved a cat from starving to death! Hallelujah!
We are told we are sinners, and then we are told that if we go to the local Baptist church we can be saved from an impending doom of literal fiery hell. We run to what they call the sanctuary, to what they call the altar and beg to be saved from this fiery hell. We get up off our knees, and there stands the pastor with his hand out, waiting for the first installment of his lifetime payment, in a biblical tradition that has been distorted, called tithing. In truth the local churches are drying up. Fewer and fewer people are going to the local brick and mortar buildings because Babylon is losing her hold over them. The people’s eyes are being opened to the truth about Babylon, and she is being torn apart.

Rev 17:16  And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
Rev 17:17  For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
Rev 17:18  And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

God is, was and will be removing the power of the great whore who has stolen us and made merchandise out of us. He is paying her double for all that she has made us drink, the great day of reckoning is coming, and is already here. Yesterday on the news I saw where a school district in New Jersey was taking away all holiday traditions. Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, Columbus day, etc., all were taken away from the kids in that school district. The school district will no longer recognize these holidays. Babylon is fallen, is fallen!

Rev 18:1  And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.
Rev 18:2  And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

The great whore, who represents all religion, all denominations of any shape or form outside of the truth, is, was and will be falling from the hearts and minds of the world. However, she is falling into what the world desires more than her, and her congregants are running to “secular humanism” where you can worship whatever you want in any style you want or you can worship yourself openly as a god and no one can question your godhood.
In this great new world, the strong survive and the weak and sickly die, for the good of the world. Why should Billy or Suzie have to go without because some old person is taking the good stuff. They have already lived their lives, give it to poor Billy and Suzie or they’ll throw a tantrum, and we’ll have to put them on Ritalin again. A lot of people say, “Don’t tell us these things. Tell us nice things, we don’t want to hear the bad things”. We then tune the truth out and get on facebook or turn the T.V. on and watch the 24 hour news cycle and catch up on the latest gossip. It tickles the flesh to hear the dirt on others, we are drawn to it like an ant to sweetness. Our fleshly Adamic nature loves to gossip.
Nothing gives us more pleasure than to gossip about our neighbors, because we are made merchandise by our old Adamic nature. Merchandise is something that has a value to it, that is sold for a price, and the value to gossip is it makes me feel better about myself when I hear the dirt about you. When it’s offered to me, my fleshly nature snatches it up before I can say no. There are countless ways to describe what spiritual merchandise is that carries us away into slavery. There are too many to count, but they all have one thing in common – whatever is being offered benefits your flesh, not your spirit.

Gal 5:16  This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Gal 5:17  For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

Rom 8:4  That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Rom 8:5  For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
Rom 8:6  For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Rom 8:7  Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Rom 8:8  So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Why can’t those, all of the Adamic lineage, please God in the flesh? Because…
“….flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption (1Co 15:50).
Did we see what was just said? Flesh is corruption, and flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. What is the kingdom of God?
“…love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law” (Gal 5:22,23).
If the flesh cannot inherit what is read above, then, what and who does? The new man – Christ in us. Why can’t flesh inherit these attributes? Because flesh is contrary to Christ. Why did God create flesh if it is contrary to truth? Because we cannot know good without evil, and flesh is evil, flesh is sin. Flesh was literally created as the necessary evil to bring about the new man in the elect. Flesh is the outer shell that houses the seed of the elect. It is the soil in which we grow.
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul (Gen 2:7).
The other day I was on my hands and knees in my garden pulling weeds from around the desired plants I had planted. With sweat running down my face into my eyes burning them, with my knees getting all dirty and poked with rocks, I wondered to myself, “Where do all these weeds come from? Where did all the seeds to these weeds come from? I burned the ground a few months ago, scorching the ground. Then I tilled it over and over until it was fine dust. I then planted exactly what I wanted to grow, yet here all around my desired plants are weeds, weeds everywhere. Where did they come from?”
They come from God. The earth, the soil, is so engrossed with different seeds of weeds that it is literally impossible to stop their growth. So it is with us. We were created from the dust of the ground, totally engrossed with seeds of the weeds we call sins of the flesh. When you pull one, another one pops up. Day after day, week after week, year after year they keep coming. Unless we are made merchandise of, we keep pulling those weeds. However, if we buy the merchandise of the enemy, we make peace with the weeds and call them vegetables. We eat the weeds instead of the vegetables, and we show our true nature as beasts, made to be taken and destroyed.
2Pe 2:12  But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

Rom 9:22  What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

Dan 4:25  That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.

Our flesh is MADE to die, to be destroyed and made with all these weeds in it. Only the elect can see the difference between weeds and vegetables, only the elect make peace with the flesh as the unrighteous mammon, a necessary evil with which we must contend. The peace is that we know it was created by God to be destroyed, not to be mistaken as making peace with the sin itself and giving ourselves over to it. No, we resist it by pulling it up daily.
We resist the pull to give ourselves over to sin, and say, “Well, God made it, so it must be good.” God also made poison. Sin is poison, but do we drink it so that we can prove God is King? Obviously not. In the world today that is the thought. “God made me a lazy bum, with no ambition, so I will embrace my laziness and sponge off all those who work hard every day, and the government here in the United States rewards such laziness. The government embraces children out of wedlock by providing welfare to unwed mothers and the child’s dad acts as though he did nothing wrong. He acts as though it’s the government’s duty to pay for my sinful actions.
I am as guilty as the next guy. The homosexual says that God made him a woman in a man’s body therefore he has surgeries to make himself look like a woman. His soul has been stolen by the thief, and he has been made merchandise out of. These truth are written, not to shame the homosexual or the fornicator or the thief, of which we all are, but to expose the thief of the soul who comes to steal and destroy all who buy his lies of self-gratification through the lie of freewill. When we buy the lie of freewill, we have been stolen, and we are made merchandise of. Then we pass that same lie on to others, and we become the thief. The truth is we are all creations of God from the dust of the earth, with hundreds of weed seeds lying in our soil. When the temperature is perfect, when the sun is high in our sky, when the moon’s pull is perfect and there is an ample supply of water, the weeds begin to grow, and they choke out the true plant that was planted.

Mat 13:7  And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

That rue plant is Christ. For the world, the weeds will take over, and the plant seed never takes root. For the elect, this is a process that we must go through. The seed will fall on good ground after it has made it through the other stages of life, the way side, the stoney ground, the thorny and then the good ground. We are taught by our Creator to pull the weeds as soon as they come up, before they overtake the good seed. If we allow both to grow together, the weeds WILL overcome the good seed, because the desires of the flesh and instant gradification is sweeter to the flesh than a lifetime of suffering and waiting for a promise we cannot see. May God protect us from the thief, who comes to steal and destroy the truth in us subtly by telling us that we need not be changed. We cannot resist, we need not endure, everyone else is doing it, so why can’t we?

Joh 10:7  Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
Joh 10:8  All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
Joh 10:9  I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
Joh 10:10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

In exposing the thief, we are putting him away, putting away evil from us. We do not learn these things so we can snub our noses at our brothers and sisters in the world who do not know the truth. We learn these things to stay alive in a world that has been given over to love the flesh and cherish it.
All flesh, from Adam until today is sin and created in sin. To make peace with it is to give yourself over to it, and that has the end result of not being resurrected until the second resurrection, where all mankind will be brought to the knowledge of the truth. This resurrection is called the resurrection of the damned, because the first resurrection is called “blessed and holy”. resurrection of the “damned” is the resurrection of the “judged” at the white throne judgment. If we are resurrected in this age, we are the priests and kings that will rule with Christ for a thousand years. If you don’t care what resurrection you are in, then that’s where God has you blinded. If you have a desire to know the truth and be in the first blessed and holy resurrection, then your eyes have been opened, and your ears hear.
We were made merchandise by the great whore of religion, telling us there is only one resurrection; we die and that’s it, you either made it or you didn’t. That’s a lie.

Rev 20:4  And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Rev 20:5  But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Rev 20:6  Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Also, there are these verses;

Joh 5:29  And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

“The resurrection of life” and “the resurrection of Damnation [judgment-G2920] have a separation of a thousand years.
“…But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.  Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death [second resurrection] hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” (Rev 20:5,6)
The great whore of Revelation 17 and 18 had stolen us, by having us believe that this is it, this life is all we have. She tried, but Christ has come to free the captive and set us free from the lies of religion. She had stolen us to make merchandise out of us, but we were freed and now we must expose her lies.

Luk 4:18  The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Luk 4:19  To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
