Deu 12:1-15 There Shall be a Place Which the LORD your God Shall Choose to Cause His Name to Dwell There

[Study Aired November 22, 2-19]

Deu 12:1  These are the statutes and judgments, which ye shall observe to do in the land, which the LORD God of thy fathers giveth thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.
Deu 12:2  Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:
Deu 12:3  And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place.
Deu 12:4  Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God.
Deu 12:5  But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come:
Deu 12:6  And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks:
Deu 12:7  And there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee.
Deu 12:8  Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes.
Deu 12:9  For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God giveth you.
Deu 12:10  But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit, and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety;
Deu 12:11  Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto the LORD:
Deu 12:12  And ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God, ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your menservants, and your maidservants, and the Levite that is within your gates; forasmuch as he hath no part nor inheritance with you.
Deu 12:13  Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt offerings in every place that thou seest:
Deu 12:14  But in the place which the LORD shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.
Deu 12:15  Notwithstanding thou mayest kill and eat flesh in all thy gates, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the roebuck, and as of the hart.

We have taken the time to re-read the above verses to cover the two verses that were highlighted, verses 8 and 9. When these verses were read, we did not take the time to cover in depth what these two particular verses mean to us.  We are the body of Jesus Christ, Who is our rest. When we enter Him, we cease from our own works. However, ceasing from our own works does not mean there are no works to do. It means that the works being done are not ours but His.

Php 2:12  Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Php 2:13  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Why is the emphasis on this thought in verses 8 and 9? Why did He specifically point out "you shall not do after all the things you do here this day....every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes"? How does that apply to us inwardly as a body? Also, why has He pointed out that they had not come to THE REST and to THE INHERITANCE, which the LORD your God gives? If this is all for us as an example, and we are to apply it inwardly, then how, where and when do we apply it?

1Co 10:11  Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
1Co 10:12  Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
1Co 10:13  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
1Co 10:14  Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
1Co 10:15  I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.
1Co 10:16  The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
1Co 10:17  For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
1Co 10:18  Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?
1Co 10:19  What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?
1Co 10:20  But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
1Co 10:21  Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.
1Co 10:22  Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?

Notice he calls us "one bread". Why use the symbol of bread?

Mat 13:33  Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

We are that leaven that is hid in the meal and which makes the whole bread leavened. We are what causes the bread to rise, we are the reason for the resurrection. We are why Christ was risen and becomes the bread of life. We are what He died for. Christ said He was The Bread of life.

Joh 6:35  And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Paul just said we were that bread, "for we being many are one bread". We are the body of Jesus Christ, and at the same time we are the bread of the original BREAD. We are what feeds each other. We feed off each other, and therefore we live off each other. No one does what is right in his own eyes, no one knows anything but from each other. We all have the same mind and therefore are not individuals, but individual parts connected to the same body. My fingers are individual parts but still called the body as a whole and united to the rest of the body. The problem with all of religion is it focuses on self.

In Babylon I was told about my individual relationship with God and that it was all between me and Jesus. I cannot tell you how many times I have heard someone say, "Me and Jesus have our own thing between us." Well, that's not how God works. We are individual parts, but those parts act in unison with the WHOLE. Our first verse this morning said, "You shall not do after all the things you do here this day....every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes." Because that is what individuals do; they do what they think is right for them as an individual. He is telling us we shall not live that way. We are to live and move and have our being as a whole body. This is why He said in the next verse:

" are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance"

You cannot enter rest as an individual! You cannot partake of the inheritance thinking you and Jesus have your own personal thing apart from the rest of us, because that doctrine is the same doctrine of the people of the land that worship under every green tree - and people are trees.

Mar 8:24  And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.

That doctrine is a doctrine of devils and a doctrine made for your destruction. There are two families that walk this earth. The one family is of the first Adam, and the other family is of the second Adam. The first Adamic family is the flesh, and it operates by the feelings and desires of the flesh. The flesh is for the flesh. When someone says Jesus and them have a thing between them alone, what they are saying is that they have an individual relationship and that relationship is not scriptural. Christ's church is made up of many people who make up the whole body as one. The other theology is doing what every man sees as right in his own eyes and keeps him on this side of the Jordan. Not being able to obtain the inheritance is not obtaining rest in Christ.

Heb 4:9  There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
Heb 4:10  For he that is entered into his rest (crossed the Jordan), he also hath ceased from his own works (worshiping in the place He has chosen for us to worship as a whole nation and not as individuals), as God did from his.
Heb 4:11  Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Not obtaining rest means you have not the spirit of Christ. The spirit of Christ says, "I can of mine own self do nothing..."

Joh 5:19  Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

Joh 5:30  I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
Joh 5:31  If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.

The house of God is built up and made from individual pieces. As the literal physical body, these pieces make the whole. We are built up into a house made from Christ. He is the chief corner stone of that house.

Psa 118:22  The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
Psa 118:23  This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.
Psa 118:24  This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Psa 118:25  Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.
Psa 118:26  Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD. (not under every green tree)
Psa 118:27  God is the LORD, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.
Psa 118:28  Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.
Psa 118:29  O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Christ was bound by the cords of our sins to the horns of the altar, the nails on the cross are the horns to which He was bound on the cross. We are bound by the cords of the trials we are put through as the body of Christ, to the altar in the temple. We are sacrificed in seeing we are sinners and we must suffer the same fate as the rest of humanity. We are built upon the Chief corner stone, the Stone which the builders of religion have refused. Humanity, without seeing the truth, are the builders which have rejected Christ. We in the flesh and they rejected Him because we believed we had free will and that we were individuals, able to make choices separate and independent from Christ. In claiming freewill we are claiming a separation from the One Who created us. In claiming free will we are rejecting the truth that, we are made to fulfill His will and good pleasure. We are made as a body of the first Adamic family, and we are made from the second Adamic family. We must go through the first to get to the last.

We must be children of Adam in the flesh before we can be children of Adam in the spirit. We must first be an individual part of Aw-dawm'-H121, the first Adam, before we can be part of the whole spiritual Aw-dawm-H120, the second Adam/Christ. If we are not given to see that we are children of the Devil from birth in the flesh, we cannot see that we are children of God. The world sees itself as separate from the Devil. They see themselves as individuals and Satan as an individual, both separate. What we cannot see in the flesh is that whatever family you are born into, whatever HOUSE you are in, is the house you are named after. All through the scriptures this principle is brought out - how people are called BY whatever from which house they came.

Exo 19:3  And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;

Isa 48:1  Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness.

We are either in the house of Satan or the house of Christ. We either believe we are free moral agents and are not in bondage to anything or anyone, which declares we are of the house of Satan, or we are given to see that everything we were, are or going to be is predetermined, predestined and ordained to be EXACTLY what the house owner has desired it be, nothing more, nothing less.

I was born with the last name Crabtree. When my Grandmother gave birth to my Dad, she left him in the hospital and gave him her married name, Crabtree. However, his real last name was Pedigo. I was born into my father's house, and he gave me the name Crabtree even though his name really was Pedigo. I can say my name is of the house of Crabtree, but that is not true. I am of the house of Pedigo. We can claim whatever God predestines we claim to keep us blinded, but in reality we are what He created us to be. I claimed to be a Crabtree because that is what my Dad gave me, but in reality I am a Pedigo. We can claim the name of Christ, but that does not make us of the house of Christ.

Isa 4:1  And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.

You can call yourselves Christians all day and all your life, but if Christ has not called you, you are not what you call yourself. I did not find out until I was in my forties that I was a Pedigo. Literally, a few months before I found out that I was called and chosen, I found out through DNA tests which confirmed who my real blood family was. It was a real life parable from God that showed me that I was of the house of Israel, Christ. I lived forty-something years thinking I was a something I was not. It was not until Christ opened my eyes to show me that I was of the household of Satan and that what I was called was not my true name. My true name is written upon a White Stone, that Stone is Christ. No man, no flesh, knows that name except he that receives it, and that name is Christ.

Rev 2:17  He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

We are never individuals separate from the whole. We are either from the house of Satan, or we are from the house of God. We must be given to see we are enslaved to the name of our Father the Devil before we can have freedom in seeing we are of the house of Christ. We are not free from sin until we see we are sin. We cannot be called by our true name until we see what name we are born into as flesh. We cannot be born again and be given a new name by being born into a new family and still believe we are free moral agents. Confessing you are free testifies

Joh 8:33  They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

Joh 8:38  I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

Joh 8:44  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

They confessed they were free in the flesh, and that confession testified which family they were of, the Devil's family. As long as flesh fights for its rights to be flesh and to have what it desires as free moral agents, it only testifies against itself. The very thought of freewill is the very thing that keeps us enslaved. Freedom comes from knowing you are made and crafted what you are by the Creator. Then and only then can you be released from the power of the house into which you were born as flesh. Only then can you be given a new name, Christ. To be called by His name is the greatest privilege we can receive. I was born a slave of the Devil from physical birth by the hand of my Creator. I was also born again, I was recreated, given a new name by the hand of my Father, and that name is written upon a White Rock. That name is Jesus Christ. We are born from the lineage of Jesus Christ when the lineage of Satan has been destroyed, and it is by that name we are called kings and priests. We have been recreated into the highest honor a creature could be called by and all people of the world that have ever lived will come from that One Seed. We will be the lineage that He builds His house, and that lineage started with Christ and the Apostles.

Eph 2:20  And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
Eph 2:21  In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
Eph 2:22  In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

All of the world, from the first Adam unto the last flesh born, will come through this house of fire. We will end this study with these verses that show we will bring all of mankind into the house of God by fire, and all of mankind will see the truth in the lake of fire. In this lake of fire they will be born again, just as we are going through our fiery trials now, so they will go through the lake of fire to be born again. Jacob and Joseph are the elect and Esau is the world, all in type.

Oba 1:18  And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau; for the LORD hath spoken it.
Oba 1:19  And they of the south shall possess the mount of Esau; and they of the plain the Philistines: and they shall possess the fields of Ephraim, and the fields of Samaria: and Benjamin shall possess Gilead.
Oba 1:20  And the captivity of this host of the children of Israel shall possess that of the Canaanites, even unto Zarephath; and the captivity of Jerusalem, which is in Sepharad, shall possess the cities of the south.
Oba 1:21  And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD'S.
