Another Jesus and Another Gospel

Hi M____,
I took the time to listen to your sister- in- law and I must say that she is a very able speaker. More than that she is a gifted speaker. Every word out of her mouth seemed to be coming straight from her heart. Her passion for the poor and orphans seem entirely genuine. Her sincerity also seems to be genuine and above reproach, I have no doubt that your brother and his wife are both very good people who love God and His Word to the very best of their ability.
Having said that I am going to be just as frank as you asked me to be, and point out that she obviously has absolutely no understanding of the sovereignty of God. She has no understanding of what Mary’s alabaster box of ointment is all about. She is totally blinded to the fact that God “creates [ all] the evil” she speaks of. She obviously does not believe that what Paul wrote concerning women not being speakers in the church is to be taken “as commandments of the Lord,” and finally she has “not been given eyes to see or ears to hear” why Christ spoke in parables. Consequently she really doesn’t understand her own point about God being a “hidden God.” She opens and closes her talk as if we were responsible for all we do as the church. Her understanding of who is Babylon the great the mother of harlots and of the abominations of the earth seems to be non- existent.
Your sister- in- law and your brother have both been given much of the gold, silver and precious stones that are in Babylon in abundance:

Rev 18:11  And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:
Rev 18:12  The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,

Strong delusion is not weak delusion. It is a delusion which would deceive the very elect if possible.

Mat 24:24  For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
2Th 2:10  And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2Th 2:11  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2Th 2:12  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

The serum for strong delusion is “a love of the Truth.” A love of the Truth is just another Biblical way of saying that one is able to “know the voice of the True Shepherd” and know how to try the spirits.

1Jn 4:1  Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world .

I do not know your brother or your sister- in- law from Adam, but I do know Adam. I know that it was Adam in Cain that slew Abel because God respected Abel more than Cain. It was in Adam that Joseph’s brothers wanted their brother dead, and it was in Adam that the church hated Christ because God loved Christ more than His self- righteous back- slidden church.
If your sister- in- law and your brother ever come to see the things you believe, then they, too will either hate you and want you as dead as Elisha’s bones (a very good point she made there!) or else they will have to repent and come to see that they are not as dead as Elisha’s bones, but are very much alive to Babylon, the great city where our Lord was crucified:

Rev 11:8  And their dead bodies [ shall lie] in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

That “great city” is the orthodox Christian church with all of its false doctrines, including all the gift of tongues your sister- in- law referenced in her talk. Read all the letters on tongues if you have not yet.
Listening to such a capable speaker makes me more deeply aware that when God deceives He does so to the extent that the light of the ‘sun’ is completely obliterated:

Mat 6:23  But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great [ is] that darkness!
Isa 3:1  For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water,
Isa 3:2  The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,
Isa 3:3  The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.
Isa 3:4  And I will give children [ to be] their princes, and babes shall rule over them.

It is not worded as ‘What you think is light,’ It says “If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!”
And it does not deny that Babylon’s gold, silver and precious stones are not real gold, silver and precious stones. They are real. But they are still Babylon’s and not Christ’s.
Your sister- in- law seemed to have completely missed the point that the 29th chapter of Job is a display of Job’s self- righteousness, even though Job understood, to an extent, that it was all God’s doings:

Job 13:15  Though he [ God] slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

Job 27:5  God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me.
Job 27:6 My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.

I hope I have not offended you, and I pray that God gives you eyes to see and ears to hear the voice of the true shepherd and the ability to not follow the voice of a stranger.

Joh 10:5  And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

We are to be hated of all men. This is especially true of the established orthodox church:

Mat 10:22  And ye shall be hated of all [ men] for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
1Jn 4:17  Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
