A Response to What is the World
"Hi Mike.
I have read What is the world and do not understand what you are saying in the description of Matt 13:38."The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;"
"If that doesn't tell you what 'the world' is, I don't know what it is going to do. It is within the church that the children of the kingdom are the church. The 'field is the world' then he goes on to tell about the rest of the parable. It is just like at the beginning of the Bible. Adam, the son of God had 2 sons, Cain and Abel. Who are they? Sons of God, also, but one is the seed of the woman and the other is the seed of the serpent. Christ tells the Pharisees of his day (descendants of physical Abraham), I know you are Abraham's seed, but you seek to kill me because you are of your father the devil. Who is he saying this to?"
I read it as: the field is the world (the world being all mankind, not the church); the good seed are the children (those who believe and obey) of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; (those who disobey)
Can you explain? I simply feel I do not understand a truth here.

Hello D____,
My name is Billy Mitchell and I am a friend and spiritual brother of Mike's, and help him answer e-mails when he gets swamped, and at this moment he has asked me to help. You have asked about the world being all of mankind, or being the church? First I will go to Matthew 10:5
Mat 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:And also Matthew 15:22
Mat 10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Mat 10:7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Mat 15:22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
Mat 15:23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
Mat 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Mat 15:25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
Mat 15:26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
Mat 15:27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
These
scriptures let us know that Jesus came only to the lost sheep of
the house of Israel. Though Jesus did help the Canaanite woman, this
was just another type in scripture to show that all nations would be
blessed through the promise that was given to Abraham. None the
less, Jesus was not there for her specifically, but for the lost sheep of
the house of Israel. So, was Jesus there for the Romans, or even the
Samaritan woman He met at the well? The answer is still no and no
to both until their time comes. If we notice, Jesus called the Canaanite woman a dog, so
outside of the house of Israel, or the church that God has called, is
nothing but dogs.
Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.So could we include those outside of Israel as being the world in this next scripture?
Rev 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
Joh 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
Joh 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
In this scripture, it says that "He came unto his own, and his own
received him not". This part in John 1:11 is also referring back to John
1:10, as being the world. So it would be safe to say that Jesus came
only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel, and John 1:10 and 11
would also be talking about Israel, so the rest outside of Israel are
nothing but dogs, so we would have to exclude the dogs as being the
world.
Even as Jesus had come unto his own, and his own wouldn't receive him, the same thing has happened to the new testament "church world" of today. It all has an 'is, was and will be' application to all of the church world of all ages. Jesus has come to this age to speak to the lost sheep of the house of Israel, and this would be the church world of today. And 'as He is, so are we in this world.' We are the spiritual seed and offspring of Christ sowing the seed to the world, just as Jesus did two thousand years ago. We are saying the same things that Jesus said, we are doing the same things that Jesus did, and we will also be rejected as Jesus was. God has not sent us to seek out all the seas of humanity, but only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel, which is the world.

Joh 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
Joh 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
What is the world that God has called us out of, and what world was it that
hated Jesus so much that they sought to kill Him? Was it Pilate, or
even the Romans that really hated Jesus and rejected Him and sought to
have Him put to death? Of course not, Pilate was determined to let
him go.
Act 3:13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he [Pilate] was determined to let him go.
It was the religious church world of the day that sought to have
Jesus crucified, it wasn't the man sitting on the bar stool, or the
prostitute on the street corner, but only the Jews that believed on
Him; it was those of His own household.
Mat 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Mat 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
So the phrase 'those of his own household' is referring to the lost sheep
of the house of Israel. They were his own, and his own would not receive him; they
are the world. We are told that at the beginning of creation the dry land in Genesis 1:9-10
was pushed up out of the waters. The waters represent all mankind, and
that the earth was the church, (Jeremiah 22:29 - O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD.) because it was
pushed out a little higher than the sea. In the old testament, physical
Israel was the earth, or the world, and the sea was all of humanity.
And today, we are the Israel of God, and Israel (whether physical in
the Old Testament or spiritual in the New) is, was and will always
be God's children, His chosen people, and the rest are just mere'
Gentile dogs.' And where does the church sit today, but on top of the
sea of humanity to make the earth, "not the sea", to be drunk with the
wine of her fornication.
Revelation 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
Revelation 17:2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
All of us at one time or another have worn the garments of purple and
scarlet that this woman wears, and spoke blasphemy against our Lord.
But he has called us out of the world, to be a separated people. He is
calling us out of this harlot church. You might ask, "how do we know
that this woman that sits on many waters is the church"? Well, let's
look at Revelation 17:5-6.
Revelation 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Revelation 17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
Who else has killed the prophets of God and sought to crucify Jesus, and to
this day, tries to crucify His children? Is it the sea of humanity or
the drunk sitting in the neighborhood bar? Or is it those of his own
household, the lost sheep of the house of Israel?
1Th 2:15 Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:
1Th 2:16 Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.
Mat 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
Mat 23:34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
All through the Bible, God sent His prophets and wise men to His
people and not to the rest of humanity. It was the earth that had been
pushed out of the sea, His called people that he had chosen from the
beginning of Adam, it is the Israel of God that has always hunted God's
prophets down, and killed them. And so it is today...
Luke 13:33 Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.I hoped this has helped you to try to see what the world is.
