"Ye Are Gods"

What does it mean when Christ says we are gods? Does this mean we will be like the imaginations of our carnal minds on what a god is? He clearly says that we are gods, so what does that mean? Are we going to throw literal lightning bolts, command the storms to punish the evil doers, with rippling muscles, long white hair and beard? This is fantasy and of carnal thought. To be a god is to possess the judgment of God. To speak the words in truth from the One and Only God means that the One and Only God has chosen to speak through you His words.

Exo 4:10  And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.
Exo 4:11  And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?
Exo 4:12  Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.
Exo 4:13  And he said, O my Lord, send, I pray thee, by the hand of him whom thou wilt send.
Exo 4:14  And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.
Exo 4:15  And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do.
Exo 4:16  And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.
Exo 4:17  And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs.

It is quite evident from these verses that what makes a god is what comes out of the mouth of the person. The wisdom that proceeds from the mouth of the person tells us whether that person is from God and therefore either a god or a false prophet. We are called sons of God. If God procreates, then what proceeds from Him is a likeness of Him, a son. If we are sons of God, then we are indeed gods which means we will have the thoughts and wisdom of the God in which we were created.

In the above verses, God tells Moses that he will be as God to Aaron. In other words, what he speaks to his brother will be as when God speaks to Moses. The words will come from God to Moses, but they will look as though they are coming from Moses. God, Who makes the mouth and the tongue of every individual makes the very words that are spoken from His creation, therefore what is being spoken is from God, Himself. Remember, rebuke the thoughts that say,"If that's the case, then everyone is speaking from God." No, the scriptures are written to the elect, the sons of God, not to those that are not part of the body. When the world speaks, as we once did, they speak the words of their father the Devil. The devil is God's servant, but for the purpose of keeping man from the truth and therefore delivers to mankind the words of blasphemy.

Joh 8:38  I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.
Joh 8:39  They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
Joh 8:40  But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
Joh 8:41  Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
Joh 8:42  Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
Joh 8:44  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Joh 8:45  And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
Joh 8:46  Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?
Joh 8:47  He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

"Not of God", not born of God, created beings but not born from above.  Sons of God hear the words of their Father, period. If you do not hear the words of God which proceed from the mouth of His children, it is because you are not of God.

1Jn 4:3  And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
1Jn 4:4  Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
1Jn 4:5  They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
1Jn 4:6  We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Verse 6 here is simply a confirmation of what Christ said in:

Joh 8:47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

Only a god can hear the words of God. Only a god can hear the judgments of God which gives all true judgment. When judgment is in the earth, in my heart and mind, then I shall learn righteousness.

Isa 26:9  With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

The above verse has an internal meaning to the elect, now in this eon and an ordinal outward meaning to the world in the lake of fire. We will be the ones handing out the judgments to the world and they will be learning the righteousness of God.

Isa 26:10  Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD.
Isa 26:11  LORD, when thy hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of thine enemies shall devour them.
Isa 26:12  LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.
Isa 26:13  O LORD our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.
Isa 26:14  They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.

Knowing good and evil is the beginning of the end of the old man; the end of what we believe to be a god. The old man, independent from God, can never know what is good or evil, just like Adam. He literally never knew what good was or what evil was. It never entered his mind until he was presented with the fruit.

Gen 3:5  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

What was his immediate reaction to this knowledge? He first covered his nakedness, which he saw as evil, then he hid himself from what he saw as good, His Creator.

Gen 3:7  And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
Gen 3:8  And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
Gen 3:9  And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
Gen 3:10  And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

What were God's words after they ate the fruit?

Gen 3:22  And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become [become is in the qal, same as the Greek aorist tense, meaning it is an ongoing process without regard to tense.] as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

They had become gods, to know good and evil. The knowing is where the godhood comes in. To know good and evil is to know God. Without the knowledge to know what is good and what is evil, we cannot know God. The real issue is where we believe it all comes from. Do we voluntarily eat from the tree, or are we made to eat of it? Do we decide to eat or are we predestined to eat. Who makes the decision to eat - the man or God? Man makes the decision because God has predestined him to make that decision, and it is good. Man can of himself do nothing independent and separate from God. Man is not his own god.

Joh 15:4  Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
Joh 15:5  I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Now the main scripture in discussion:

Joh 10:34  Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
Joh 10:35  If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
Joh 10:36  Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
Joh 10:37  If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
Joh 10:38  But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

When Christ gave the law to Moses about them leaving Egypt, He told him this:

Exo 7:1  And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.
Exo 7:2  Thou shalt speak all that I command thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land.

So, what made Moses a god? He would contain the words of God. The fact that he would speak the words of God made him a god. It was not because Moses was anything in and of himself, but because he was given the words of God.

Psa 82:1  A Psalm of Asaph. God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
Psa 82:2  How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
Psa 82:3  Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
Psa 82:4  Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
Psa 82:5  They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
Psa 82:6  I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
Psa 82:7  But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
Psa 82:8  Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

Brother Mike was given these following thoughts on verse six.

The elect are the ones that contain judgment, righteousness and salvation from the wicked old man, but we contain it because we are given it. It is not inherent to the flesh to contain such knowledge. This judgment, righteousness and salvation are based on the knowledge of God in Spirit. It is not on the works of man, the judgment of a carnal man, that makes him right with the Spirit of God.

Psa 139:4  For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.
Psa 139:5  Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.
Psa 139:6  Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. (cannot attain to it in the flesh)

Jer 1:9  Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
Jer 1:10  See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.

This is another verse that plainly shows in the spirit that to be a god is to possess the judgment of the true God. To have His words put into your mouth. All things are by judgment, all things are set in order by the judgment of God. When His judgments are in our earth, we have been born again and then are able to see Who God is, was and will be in our earth and in the earth as a whole. This knowledge is what will make us gods over the rest of mankind during the 1000 year reign. Hitler professed to be the one who would lead a 1000 year reign over the world through the Germanic people, the third Reich, as it was called. But, he was thinking the reign was a physical reign, by physical people who would rule the world for a 1000 years by military might. Even the false prophets know that there will be a 1000 years rule by somebody, they just don't know who. Even they are groaning within themselves for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Rom 8:18  For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Rom 8:19  For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
Rom 8:20  For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
Rom 8:21  Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
Rom 8:22  For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

Hitler, along with other physical leaders, said that they contained in their natural flesh something better and mightier than the rest of mankind. They were born in the flesh a better people, and the rest of mankind were inferior people to them. This is the lie we all possess in the flesh. We all believe that we know what is best for everyone else but can't run our own lives. Why is this? Because mankind cannot make war with the beast, only God Who created the beast has power over the beast and gives that power to whomsoever He has predestined. This power comes from the Creator and belongs to the Creator, not the creature, and if that knowledge is not known, you are in darkness.

Rev 13:4  And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

Mat 11:27  All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

Eph 6:12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

This knowledge is given by God to the Elect, the sons of God, those born again in His likeness. We are born again, recreated and being recreated to receive this knowledge and then have the wisdom to dispense it. This knowledge is Jesus Christ living in us. Below is a prophesy of what we were to become and what we are now being created into, internally first, then for the purpose of ordinally dispensing it to the rest of mankind.

Deu 18:15  The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
Deu 18:16  According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.
Deu 18:17  And the LORD said unto me, They have well spoken that which they have spoken.
Deu 18:18  I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
Deu 18:19  And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
Deu 18:20  But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
Deu 18:21  And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?
Deu 18:22  When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

This happens inward first and the Prophet is Christ, then outward in the world through the elect, the body of Christ. The following verse is how we apply it inwardly and we will apply it ordinally in the world during the 1000 year reign. The gods that are spoken of in this verse are what we thought of ourselves inwardly and what the world thinks of itself outwardly.

Exo 12:12  For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.

"The gods of Egypt" are what we believe about who we are before we come to the knowledge of truth. We believe that we are born with an inherent goodness, and then we corrupt ourselves by our own free will. This idea is false because it does not take into account that we are born evil not knowing good.

Rom 3:10  As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Rom 3:11  There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

If there are none that are born good in the flesh and we are conceived in sin:

Psa 51:5  Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Then how can we say we know good? We can't in the flesh. We cannot understand what good is if we don't know we are evil. How can I know what is good if I don't know I am evil? If that's the case, and it is, then we don't even know what is evil, and we call evil, good and good, evil.

Isa 5:20  Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Isa 5:21  Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

This is why what we thought were gods in our Egypt are destroyed because we don't even know what we are. We think that by earthly knowledge we can understand God and make ourselves in His likeness. This is worshipping a false god.

1Co 8:4  As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.
1Co 8:5  For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
1Co 8:6  But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
1Co 8:7  Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.

The knowledge of the God does not exist in every human. Only the elect are given this knowledge. To them "there be gods many and lords many", but to us there is but One God and we in Him and He in us, which makes us gods, those made in the image of Christ, the only begotten of the Father.

Joh 1:12  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Joh 1:13  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Joh 1:14  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Exo 18:11  Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they [the Egyptians, our old man] dealt proudly he was above them.(above their own judgement)

He sees that the knowledge, judgment or wisdom that man possesses and brags about comes from ABOVE them, from the God. We take pride in our knowledge and wisdom and portray it as it comes from our learning and studying. But the truth is, that whatever I have, I have received it from God, it was not inherent to my flesh.

Mat 16:17  And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Exo 20:3  Thou shalt have no other gods before me. (our own judgement)

It is instinctive for us to think of literal statues or carvings of false gods by aboriginal people when we hear the word "gods". It does have that literal meaning as brought out in Isaiah.

Isa 44:10  Who hath formed a god, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing?
Isa 44:11  Behold, all his fellows shall be ashamed: and the workmen, they are of men: let them all be gathered together, let them stand up; yet they shall fear, and they shall be ashamed together.
Isa 44:12  The smith with the tongs both worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with the strength of his arms: yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth: he drinketh no water, and is faint.
Isa 44:13  The carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with a line; he fitteth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house.
Isa 44:14  He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it.
Isa 44:15  Then shall it be for a man to burn: for he will take thereof, and warm himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread; yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto.
Isa 44:16  He burneth part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied: yea, he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire: (these words must be read inwardly)
Isa 44:17  And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth it, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god.
Isa 44:18  They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.
Isa 44:19  And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh, and eaten it: and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?
Isa 44:20  He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

But these verses have a more important internal meaning. We are the idols that are being formed. We are the ones that form what we believe is worshiping God. We read books by people who we think have a knowledge they possessed from the God, and then we hold them up as gods. We then take that knowledge and form ourselves into those very gods and fall down and worship them. I did it for years. I quoted John Calvin, Martin Luther, John Bonner and so on and so on. Men I thought held the truth and who I thought had reached a utopian Paradise that allowed me to say "I am warm, I have seen the fire". Yet they had not seen the fire and neither had I, for the fire of the holy spirit of God is not a fire we can sit by and just be warmed. It is an all consuming fire that none can sit by.

Heb 12:29  For our God is a consuming fire.

If in any way shape or form you add the words "but" or "you have to do your part", you are still worshipping the idol. To be a son of God is to know that the image, which I am, is the image He has created me to be, nothing less and nothing more.

Rev 22:17  And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
Rev 22:18  For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Rev 22:19  And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

The fire that creates this image of God is a consuming fire which destroys everything we thought we were. It burns up all that we think about ourselves and leaves us as nothing. Then from those ashes He makes a new man into the image of Himself. What this means is that we are then able to see Who God is and how He operates. We see that we were nothing, and all that we thought we were was a lie. Not one stone was left upon another stone. Our temple is totally destroyed.

Mat 24:1  And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
Mat 24:2  And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

Then and only then does God begin to reshape us into His image and we begin at that point to know and understand true knowledge and wisdom, and we become gods. Before this we are no gods but mere men, having the understanding of a man, not knowing truth, not understanding truth, but only knowing what we have been given as a mere beast. Our knowledge and wisdom comes from what we see about ourselves and that knowledge is expressed in human words that humans can understand. But what God speaks to His children is a foreign tongue to humans, for it is a language from above, not able to be understood by mere men. They hear its words but they cannot conceive what it means, because it transcends human reasoning, it is from above and not of this earth. It is not vain babbling in some Pentecostal service. It is regular words, but when spoken get the reply "what are you saying" because they are not able to understand them from human reasoning as they are an unknown tongue.

Act 2:1  And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
Act 2:2  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
Act 2:3  And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
Act 2:4  And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Act 2:5  And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
Act 2:6  Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. (so it was not vain babblings like we are told)
Act 2:7  And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
Act 2:8  And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
Act 2:9  Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
Act 2:10  Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
Act 2:11  Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
Act 2:12  And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?
Act 2:13  Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.
Act 2:14  But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
Act 2:15  For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
Act 2:16  But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
Act 2:17  And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shallprophesy (not vain babbling, but prophesy in an unknown knowledge, an unknown tongue), and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
Act 2:18  And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
Act 2:19  And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
Act 2:20  The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

Wonders in my heavens, signs in my earth, blood from the death of Christ, fire from the Holy Spirit of God's words being spoken in truth, and whatever we thought we were are being vaporized into thin air. Our light, what we thought was our Sun, is turned into darkness and the moon (church) into blood from the sacrifice of Christ, seeing she, the church is required of all the blood from Abel to Zacharias (Mat 23:35). Then we speak a new tongue, a new language that only the sons of God can understand, for it is the words of God Himself to His creation, "you are gods".

Act 2:21  And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Act 2:22  Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
Act 2:23  Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
Act 2:24  Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
Act 2:25  For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
Act 2:26  Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
Act 2:27  Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell (Hades, where we are burned from the words of the spirit of God. We are not left there, because we are given hope in the finished work of Christ and we then are given peace to be able to walk in the fire. Hades becomes Paradise to us, and we are able to live in the fire.), neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
Act 2:28  Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
Act 2:29  Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried (not on a rock called heaven), and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
Act 2:30  Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
Act 2:31  He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell (hades), neither his flesh did see corruption.
Act 2:32  This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
Act 2:33  Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
Act 2:34  For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
Act 2:35  Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
Act 2:36  Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
Act 2:37  Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Act 2:38  Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Repent from the man of sin, be submersed in the word that speaks of Christ in you, and you shall receive the Spirit of Christ which will lead you into the knowledge of truth. Repent from thinking you have a will independent from the will of God, from thinking you can make yourself right before God by works of the law. Be baptized in the word of God that speaks of Jesus Christ as Savior - not yourself;

Eph 5:26  That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Eph 5:27  That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

In this knowledge you receive THE HOLY SPIRIT. This Spirit testifies of the Holiness of Jesus Christ and exposes the lies of the man of sin that claims his own holiness, and that we are born with an inherent holiness in the flesh by freewill choices.

Num 16:3  And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?

Jesus Christ said in John 6:63 "the WORDS that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life", and then says in John 4:24 "God is a Spirit; and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and truth." He then says that the Holy Spirit, the Holy Word, Christ in me, will lead me into all truth,

Joh 16:13  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Joh 16:14  He shall glorify me (not yourself and your works): for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
Joh 16:15  All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

How do we receive this Spirit of truth? How do we hear the words of the scripture and see that they are speaking of Christ in me, the revelation of Christ in me?

Joh 6:28  Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
Joh 6:29  Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

It is not my work to believe, "this is the WORK OF GOD, THAT we believe". Our own belief is the work of God. It does not belong to us.

Joh 6:44  No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw (drag G1610) him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

This is the work of God to drag us to the knowledge of truth. It is work that only God himself can do, and it is a work He performs only on His children. If you are a son of God, then you will hear and be given by God the faith to believe. God is Spirit and has spoken spiritual words through the only Begotten, Jesus Christ, Who fathers us into the kingdom of God by the words of His Father.

Act 2:39  For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

The promise of the covenant was given to Israel, but not literal Israel. It was given only to SPIRITUAL ISRAEL. God is Spirit, His words are spirit, therefore the only Israel that can understand them is SPIRITUAL ISRAEL;

Gal 6:15  For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
Gal 6:16  And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

Act 2:40  And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation (from your own life, for your life is the untoward generation he is speaking of).
Act 2:41  Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

These are the words of God that turn us into gods, knowing the truth and having wisdom and knowledge of the true words of he one and only God. Being in darkness and still believing you have free will independently and separately from The God is a lie from the beginning and a lie from Satan. It is a deception sent into the world by God through Satan for the purpose of refining His called and chosen people who hear His words in the spirit, because they are His offspring, gods. Fleshly man cannot hear the words of The God, because they are not gods. They are flesh and blood and will die as such. But spiritual gods hear His words because, like their Creator, they are spirit beings. They are born again from above, born again as spiritual gods for the purpose of bringing about God's plan. We do not know what we are now, we have a down payment, but when we are dissolved of this flesh, we shall know ourselves as we are known, for we shall be like Him.

1Co 13:9  For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
1Co 13:10  But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
1Co 13:11  When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
1Co 13:12  For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
2Co 3:17  Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
2Co 3:18  But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

1Jn 3:1  Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us,that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
1Jn 3:2  Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

This god is not what you see in the mirror. It is the inner person, that hears and understands the word of God. You as a person will not enter the kingdom of God, but the new man in you that has been created after the image of Christ is what will enter the kingdom. He will know as he has been known before the foundation of the world.
