Will God's Elect be Physical during the Millennium?

You have asked, "what will it be like after the resurrection"? First I must say, what does it take to have a part in the first resurrection? Does it take just a ten-second sinner's prayer, or is it not through much sufferings and fiery trials and much persecution that we enter into the kingdom? The reason I bring this up is because the whole Christian church world thinks that they don't have to suffer, or that Jesus has done all the suffering for us and there is no need for us to suffer, and that he did the work for us, and just mere faith in Christ will get us in the door.
James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

So faith alone cannot save us, but through God's chastening grace and much sufferings and persecutions, God is breaking up the fallow ground of these earthen vessels and pruning the branches of these trees to bring forth much fruit. All of this is to prepare us for the first resurrection.

God is putting us through the 'fire' in this life to purge us of all ungodliness so that we can be the righteous judges that He would have us to be, just as David had not proved or tried the armor that Saul had given him to protect him from Goliath, which left the armor useless to David.

1 Samuel 17:38 And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail.
1 Samuel 17:39 And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.
So God also must prove and try us, that we are to be useful to Him in the kingdom that will be ruled by Christ and His elect.
Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
Titus 2:12 Teaching [paideuo #772;- chasten] us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;
Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
God will only want those that He has proven do love their enemies and forgives those that have trespassed against them and loved not their own lives unto death; these will be the ones God will use to reign with Christ after the first resurrection. Only these could stand with Christ and judge the rest of humanity and judge righteous judgment.

So this is just a little of what it takes just to take part in the first resurrection. So after the resurrection, what body do we take up to do this great work with Christ?
John 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
John 3:2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
John 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
Yes, this scripture does have an 'is ,was and will be' application in our life. It is for us at this very moment as we are being born again when God begins to crucify the old man, so that this new birth can take place in our lives. But it is a long process that takes lots of grace and chastening of God. We have also received this new birth only in down-payment form; it will not be in its fullness until this flesh has been sown into the ground and this corruption has put on incorruption.
1 Corinthians 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
1 Corinthians 15:43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
1 Corinthians 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
So when we do take part in the resurrection, we will have brought to pass the saying, O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
1 Corinthians 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
1 Corinthians 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
1 Corinthians 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
After the resurrection we will stand with Christ and rule this earth with a rod of iron, and all earthly government will have to submit to Jesus and His elect. There will be plenty of work to do, and yes, we will be immortal and there will not be any sick or lame with God's elect at this point. We have overcome the world, we will be pillars in Gods temple. For us, there will be no more pain or sorrow, we will have truly passed from death unto life. We will be able to stand with Jesus and say, O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? We shall be clothed in white raiment which is the righteousness of God, we will be granted to sit with Christ in His throne, we will be fully like Jesus because we will have seen Him as He is, and we will know, even as we are known of Him. This reign will last a thousand years, and our work will have just begun. Then after the thousand years, the rest of the dead will be judged by God and cast into the lake of fire, and that fire will be God's elect who, like Joseph in dealing with his brothers, will burn out all the wood, hay, and stubble, to bring about the greatest show of God's grace that has ever been demonstrated, and then God will be all in all.
Isaiah 33:14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
Isaiah 33:15 He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
As I pointed out above, God's elect are "in Christ" now. They will certainly be "in Christ" also at that time. As such "we shall be like Him."
1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
This is where the preterists (all prophecy has been fulfilled) and the dispensationalists (all prophecy is yet future) and even the presentists (all prophecy is right now being fulfilled within us) one and all show that they do not know the true shepherd who is all of these tenses at the same time. If "we will be like Him" is true then we, in our resurrected spiritual bodies will like Christ, be capable of manifesting ourselves in flesh. Christ showed himself to his disciple in four different forms after his resurrection:
Mark 16:12 After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country.
The "after that" referred to in this verse is given in more detail in John's gospel. Mary actually "saw Jesus standing," and just like the men on the road to Emmaus, "she knew not that it was Jesus."
John 20:14 And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.
John 20:15 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.
John 20:16 Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.
Just hours after being revealed "in another form" to the men on the road to Emmaus, Christ reappeared to his disciples as Himself. Then again eight days later He reappeared as himself again in a locked room to be seen by 'doubting Thomas,' whose doubting was typical of all of the apostles and is instructive for us all.

The last form mentioned is when Christ appeared to His disciples while they were fishing.
John 21:12 Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.
The reason Christ appeared in four different forms was to demonstrate that He is in all of His elect. Here is what Christ says of Himself:
John 20:21 (a) ...As my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
We will be Christ's representatives just as Christ represented His Father. While it certainly is not so at this time, nevertheless the time is coming when the promises we have will be realized in "the fulness of Christ.
Ephesians 1:22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
Ephesians 1:23 Which [church] is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Ephesians 1:14 Which [the Holy Spirit] is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

When Satan is released "after the thousand years are finished," the inhabitants of the earth will "encompass the camp of the saints." 'The camp of the saints' will at that time be visible people who the inhabitants of the world will know very well. These will be those who Christ has placed on this earth as rulers. These people will all be seen and touched by those who have been their subjects just as Christ allowed Thomas to touch Him after His resurrection. Resurrected bodies have the ability to appear as flesh and that is what the earth's inhabitants will be attempting to destroy.

Revelation 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
Revelation 20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea (all mankind).
Revelation 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

I hope that this has helped to just give you an idea of what it will be like after the resurrection.

1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1 Corinthians 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
