Does God Cover Up For Satan?

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Hi M____,

Thanks for your questions.
I have never heard of some of these teachings and not one word of what you relate in this e- mail concerning his teachings has one ounce of truth in it, other than the fact that God himself does not do the evil which He sends evil spirits to accomplish on His command. But God does not do as all orthodox Christianity does and pass the buck and lay the blame on Satan. God makes it clear that He is working all things after the counsel of His own will.

Pro 16:4  The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
1Sa 16:14  But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.
1Sa 16:15  And Saul’s servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.
1Sa 19:9  And the evil spirit from the LORD was upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his javelin in his hand: and David played with [ his] hand.
1Sa 19:10  And Saul sought to smite David even to the wall with the javelin; but he slipped away out of Saul’s presence, and he smote the javelin into the wall: and David fled, and escaped that night

I will answer your questions starting with the last one concerning God’s sovereignty first. Your last question is:

You told me that you are reading After The Counsel of His Own Will, so you know that this story of King Saul is typical of us all and that Satan does nothing unless he is sent to do it. So this doctrine of ‘free will’ is a man’s teaching, and “you have no need that any man teach you.” The doctrine of man having a free will has no basis in the word of God. I hope you will reread After The Counsel of His Own Will if you continue reading this book.
Here is what God teaches concerning the doctrines of men which oppose the teaching of scripture:

1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

John is a man who is teaching all of us the same thing Christ taught us all:

Mat 10:17  But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;

John is certainly not referring to teachers like himself or any ‘man’ who remains faithful to the Truth of God’s Word.

1Co 12:28  And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

It is God who has “set teachers in the church.” All of John’s epistles are dealing with those who do not “try the spirits” and who will not hear what “we” who do “try the spirits” teach.

1Jn 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
1Jn 4:6  We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

The “we” and the “us” of verse 6 are those who try the spirits to see whether they are of God. So don’t ever fall for the false doctrine going around that is saying that 1Jn 2:27 teaches that you don’t need to fellowship with or listen to anyone. Teachers are “set in the church by God” to help us all “beware of men who we do not need teaching us.” You need not that this man teach you, but you do need to know that verses like this are the Truth of God’s Word, and this man denies these words.

Deu 32:39  See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.

Yes, God does this through evil spirits, but the death angel himself is nothing but a servant of our Lord, to the extent that the Lord takes complete credit for all that the death angel accomplishes.

Exo 12:11  And thus shall ye eat it [ the passover lamb]; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD’S passover.
Exo 12:12  For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.

Your next question concerning this man’s doctrine was:

We have dealt with that in answering the question of free will. If man does not have a free will, then he certainly is not free to sin, but rather he is doomed to sin. That is the whole point of Rom 7, the chapter which is so abused to justify remaining in sin. The fact that God is sovereign never gives rise to a complacent spirit in any but carnal babes in Christ. All mature Christians are “careful to maintain good works” and have no problem understanding that even though it is all God working both the desire and the deed, we are nevertheless to “work out our own salvation.”

Php 2:12  Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Php 2:13  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

All any of us have is our will and our deeds, and we are plainly instructed that we are to “work our own salvation…” because it is God that works that will to do so and the doing of His good pleasure.
But for that to be true concerning our salvation, it must also be true concerning the deeds we commit that bring us to cry out for our salvation. Is that not exactly what the scriptures teach? Do not the Old and the New Testaments teach that God is working both the good and the evil; “all things after the counsel of His own will?” Yes, that is what both the Old and the New Testaments teach.

Pro 16:4  The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
Rom 7:17  Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:18  For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but [ how] to perform that which is good I find not.
Rom 7:19  For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Rom 7:20  Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

Here we are twice told that we are not responsible for our own sins. “It is not more I that do it,” and we are twice told that sin is intrinsic to our flesh. “but sin that dwells in me… that is in my flesh.” The Old Testament also teaches that God creates evil, even wicked men to be evil, and still this man, and many other men, contend with God that they are the ones responsible for their own sins, and that sin is not intrinsic to all flesh. Someone should have told that to the apostle Paul before he penned these words.

1Co 15:50  Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

This man is incredible! Look at this heresy he states:

“So, why was it that no one else in the universe could see the sinful “nature” of Satan’s rebellion? Because the Father was always covering up for Lucifer, always taking the blame for whatever He did. There is not one place in the OT where Satan is charged, blamed or given credit for destroying anyone, even though he was continually doing it, as in the case of Job.”

What blasphemy! “The Father was always covering up for Lucifer, always taking the blame for whatever He did.”! This man is telling us that Pro 16:4 is actually a lie of the Father to cover up for what Satan is actually responsible for doing:

Pro 16:4  The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

This verse and all the verses I quote in After The Counsel of His Own Will which prove that Satan is nothing more than “an evil spirit from the Lord” are according to this man all lies from the Father to cover up for what Satan is actually doing.

Isa 45:7  I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

The Father is not lying or covering for Satan, but He certainly has deceived this particular prophet, and given him eyes that cannot see that God is “working all things after the counsel of His own will.”Your next point was:

This is Christ’s answer to that false doctrine:

Joh 8:43  Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
Joh 8:44  Ye are of [ your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

The author of this book simply cannot hear God’s Word. Satan is not a liar and a murderer because he fell from heaven and became Lucifer. He is a murderer and a liar because “he is a liar [ and] he was a murderer from the beginning.”
The serpent was a serpent from the hand of the Creator.

Job 26:13  By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.

The word ‘formed’ in this verse, is the Hebrew word ‘chalal’, and here is how it is translated elsewhere in the Old Testament.

Whether you choose the most common translation, “began” or the second most common “profane”, both agree with Christ’s statement that Satan was a lying murderer “from the beginning.” So much for the doctrine of the fall of Satan. That is the doctrine of most of Babylon, but you will never find anywhere in scripture where Christ or any of the writers of the New Testament ever speak of the “original fall of man.” We will all, in our own appointed time, “leave our first love.”

Rev 2:4  Nevertheless I have [ somewhat] against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

But that is because Adam and all of us in Adam are “marred in the Potter’s hand… from the beginning.” It is not because Adam fell. Where can dust fall? According to scripture we are but dust to begin with, just as Satan is a lying murderer to begin with.

Jer 18:4  And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

The first doctrine you ask about is this:

Such spiritual garbage is so fantastic that I have to admit that I am curious to know how anyone could possibly make such a statement. I’m not curious enough to give this man my money and read his heresy, but if you read it, then please let me know if he even bothers to try to back up such a ridiculous statement with scripture.
Here is what Christ Himself taught concerning Gabriel and all other angels.

Mat 22:29  Jesus answered and said unto them [ and to you and me], Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.
Mat 22:30  For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Read this letter on iswasandwillbe. com for a more in depth dealing with this question and the question of who were the “spirits in prison that kept not their first estate:” http:// www. iswasandwillbe. com/ fallenangels. php

Eze 14:9  And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.
Eze 14:10  And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity: the punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him that seeketh unto him;

I hope this gives you some guidance concerning the doctrine of this man. I hope it helps you to see that he simply “cannot hear [ Christ’s] Words.”

Your brother in Christ,

Hi M____,

I thank God you were given to see through that paper. God bless your desire to know Him and His Son.

Joh 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
