Deu 15:12-15 What Does it Mean to be Sold and Serve Six Years?

Deu 15:12  And if thy brother, an Hebrew man, or an Hebrew woman, be sold unto thee, and serve thee six years; then in the seventh year thou shalt let him go free from thee. 
Deu 15:13  And when thou sendest him out free from thee, thou shalt not let him go away empty: 
Deu 15:14  Thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy floor, and out of thy winepress: of that wherewith the LORD thy God hath blessed thee thou shalt give unto him. 
Deu 15:15  And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the LORD thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day. 

Last week we covered the poor man that is within our gates. We covered how this poor man in the literal sense was for the elect to see themselves as poor in spirit. We discovered that it was a good thing to be poor in spirit because that means we are not exalting ourselves in the flesh. This week we are covering, “If thy Brother, AN HEBREW MAN, or AN HEBREW SISTER, be sold unto thee, and SERVE thee six years…” What does it mean to be sold and serve us six years? What does it mean if a Brother or Sister is sold? We all know that we are born in slavery to the flesh, we are the slaves of sin.

Rom 7:14  For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

We know that to be sold under sin is to be its servant. We also know that there is a price to be paid to be delivered from that bondage. Christ pays the debt we owe, and we become His servants.

Rom 7:22  For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
Rom 7:23  But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Rom 7:24  O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
Rom 7:25  I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

We are enslaved to either the flesh or Christ. Christ has either conquered the man of sin and is freeing us from bondage to become His servants, or we are left as servants to the flesh. This freedom is in the Aorist tense in the Greek language. It is an ongoing freedom. We are taught to unlearn the laws of the man of sin and learn the laws of our new Master. Our obedience is ongoing, continually unlearning the doctrine of the man of sin and learning the doctrine of Christ. We are freed from Egypt into the slavery of Babylon and then being freed from Babylon into the kingdom of God in Christ Jesus.

Rom 6:16  Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants [G5719 – present tense- statement of fact] to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Rom 6:17  But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed [aorist tense-G5656] from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. [aorist tense]
Rom 6:18  Being then made free [aorist tense] from sin, ye became the servants [aorist tense]  of righteousness.
Rom 6:19  I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded [aorist tense] your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield  [aorist tense] your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
Rom 6:20  For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
Rom 6:21  What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
Rom 6:22  But now being made free [aorist tense] from sin, and become servants [aorist tense]  to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness [present tense G5719 – a statement of fact], and the end everlasting life.
Rom 6:23  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

I took the time to point out all the tenses to make the point that our freedom from sin and service to Christ is now; it is ongoing. It is every millisecond of our life. With every breath comes freedom from the man of sin and the doctrine of Satan. Also, with every breath we are transformed into the kingdom of our LORD and Savior. IT IS NOT AS BABYLON HAS TAUGHT THE WORLD FOR FILTHY LUCRE’S SAKE  a one-time ten-second sinner’s prayer, but a lifetime of absolute and complete war, of enduring. Our old master, the flesh, will never stop fighting to regain us, but our LORD will always defeat him. When we fall, we will get back up, because we are the called and chosen who know that even our fall was a predestined work to form us more into the image of our LORD Jesus Christ.

Php 1:6  Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

We are Christ’s brothers and sisters. We are sold to Christ by His Father. We become His servants for the debt we owe. Our service is our life, six years, and our freedom to serve Him comes in the seventh year.

Mat 18:23  Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.
Mat 18:24  And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.
Mat 18:25  But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
Mat 18:26  The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
Mat 18:27  Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.

It is VITAL for us to understand the aorist tense in the scriptures above because they free us from the false doctrine of believing the ten-second sinner’s prayer instantly makes us perfect. This false doctrine then enslaves the Hebrew man or Hebrew woman into a bondage of believing they are to be perfect instantly, and when they fail, one of two things happen. One: they become discouraged and think their ten-second sinner’s prayer must have not been sincere and they fall away back into Egypt. I remember these thoughts and remember being baptised three times, because each time I came up out of the literal physical water, I just came up a wet sinner. I remember crying out without hope because I thought I was headed for a literal burning hell because I had not stopped all sinning.

The second thing I did was diminish sins of the flesh in thought. I thought because I was not sinning in overt acts of fleshly sins, then I had become “saved”. This left me with the thoughts that I could go long periods without sinning at all, going as far to tell my mom, “I went all day today without sinning at all.” The dichotomy of this statement is that I did not know that I WAS SIN. Babylon never told me that truth.

Jer 13:23  Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.

Babylon never told me that I was sin. They told me I was created perfect, and of my own freewill I defiled myself and made myself sinful. It was now up to me, by that same freewill, to choose Christ and make myself perfect again. I was taught that from the time of my sinner’s prayer onward, I was perfect again. They did not tell me that I was BEING RECREATED into the image of Christ. They told me I was perfect, which took me back to the original sin.

Gen 3:5  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

“Ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil” was telling me that from that point on I was my own god and that from the time of my sinner’s prayer on I made the choices of good or evil. I made myself perfect again, after Adam plunged us all into a position where we were all subject to the temptation to sin or not to sin. There was never a mention of God being in control of any of this, that God had a complete plan that included sin. It was all about the man and the man’s choice of good or evil. This is why the Hebrew man or Hebrew woman is sold to another Hebrew because we set them free by the complete truth the seventh year. When a brother or sister is brought to us in Babylonian doctrine, still having the mark of the beast (the mark of mankind), they are enslaved to the beast, themselves, a sinful vessel of dishonor (Rom 9:21). This time is the time of man, the six years, living out their lives with the mark of the beast.

Rev 13:18  Here is wisdom. Let him who has a mind calculate the number of the wild beast, for it is the number of mankind, and its number is six hundred sixty-six.”

It is tripled, 666, because it is the process of judgment through which we must go to get to the complete freedom we have in Christ; the seventh year. All of mankind is in bondage to Christ whether they know it or not. When it says a man or woman that is sold in bondage to “thee”, it is to be seen as someone that the Father has dragged to the truth which we possess. When they are dragged to us, or come to the body, we have the truth that sets them free from the bondage of the mark of the beast, and they overcome that mark by the truth in Christ, in aorist tense.

Rev 15:1  And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.
Rev 15:2  And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
Rev 15:3  And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.

We all have the mark and are all slaves until we are freed from the mark and get the victory over the mark, over the beast and over the number of his name. This is completed by going through the seven last plagues and filling up of the wrath of God on our old man. This is seen in the three things we are given when we are freed by a Hebrew owner.

Deu 15:14  Thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy floor, and out of thy winepressof that wherewith the LORD thy God hath blessed thee thou shalt give unto him.

Out of thy flock” – means showing this person the perfect Lamb of God in Christ.

Joh 1:29  The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
Joh 1:36  And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

Christ is the unspotted Lamb of God sent to “take away” the “sin” of the world. The sin in my world, the sin of being the man “OF” sin. He died for all, for all was dead in me, and He died for all in the world, because all in the world are dead. Out of what we have, our flock, we give to the person in bondage. How do we know he is a Hebrew brother or sister? We know because He has been given to us in bondage, confessed he or she is the man of sin, and confessed he/she is too poor to free themselves from bondage.

When we give someone liberally out of our floor, we are giving them the things we have been given about the truth. We are giving the Seed that will liberally feed them as they start their journey into freedom from bondage. As we showed earlier, it is in the aorist tense. We become freer and freer as we begin to store away into our own “floor” or barn. As we store more away, as we become fruitful in the knowledge of truth, we are laying up in store against the time to come, the time of the great temptation.

1Ti 6:19  Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Rev 3:10  Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

This giving them out of our floor leads to the next thing we give them liberally in their complete freedom; the third process of judgment;
Out of thy winepress” – The winepress represents the judgment of God for which this person must be prepared. The life of the free Hebrew child is a life of judgment in this age, to be freed from the great winepress, the lake of fire, the second death.

Rev 19:11  And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
Rev 19:12  His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
Rev 19:13  And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
Rev 19:14  And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
Rev 19:15  And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
Rev 19:16  And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
Rev 19:17  And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
Rev 19:18  That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
Rev 19:19  And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
Rev 19:20  And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
Rev 19:21  And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

The Hebrew children must become comfortable in the fire of the judgment of God on their bondman. Their bondman is their flesh, and the flesh must die daily. To be accounted worthy to be in the first resurrection, we must know what it means to be slain as a lamb, while being slain to have our corn in store, and this will prepare us to drink the wine of the judgment of God on our flesh. We come to be free IN JUDGMENT. Unless our feet are washed in the judgment of Christ, we will not be in the first resurrection. Unless we see that we are set free from bondage by going through judgment, we will have no place in the first resurrection.

Joh 13:4  He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
Joh 13:5  After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded [Rev 19:13,14].
Joh 13:6  Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?
Joh 13:7  Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
Joh 13:8  Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.

A Hebrew child must go through the process of judgment to become a free child. Unless we (in the aorist tense) see Christ in truth, knowing we must be crucified with Him, unless we (in the aorist tense) store up the judgment of God in our barn, and unless we (in the aorist tense) drink of the wine of the judgment of God on our own lives, we will remain in bondage and never reach the seventh day, the day of completion in this age. We must remember we were in bondage to Babylon and are “being freed” daily from the bondage of her doctrines. In this freedom we can help those whom God has dragged to us. There is no hatred to those in the world who are still in bondage to literal church buildings. There are good people in there, people who do good things for a lot of people, but they are still in bondage to Babylon’s doctrine. They are our brothers and sisters, and will one day, in the lake of fire, come to know the truth we have been blessed to receive.
