Deu 14:7-8 Unclean Animals Which do not Chew the Cud and Divide the Cloven Hoof

[Study Aired January 3, 2020]

Deu 14:7  Nevertheless these ye shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the cloven hoof; as the camel, and the hare, and the coney [a badger or a rock rabbit BDB/Strongs-H8227]: for they chew the cud, but divide not the hoof; therefore they are unclean unto you.
Deu 14:8  And the swine, because it divideth the hoof, yet cheweth not the cud, it is unclean unto you: ye shall not eat of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase.

Last week we covered the spiritual meaning behind the split hoof and chewing the cud. We learned the split hoof was a type and figure of the two witnesses. They are two, but they are going in the same direction. They testify of the same thing, they are witnessing to the same thing and are united in that witness. We saw that the split hoof was as the cloven tongues. They are split, but again, they are saying the same thing, whereas the forked tongue is split, but is going in different directions. Then we saw that chewing the cud meant we spiritually are fed from the grass of the field which is the glory of mankind, or what we think of ourselves. We can see in the negative that what we think of as glory in ourselves is actually nothing. Whatever glory we do see, we see as the glory that belongs to Christ. Two different witnesses but united in the same conclusion, all things are of Him, by Him and for Him.

Col 1:15  Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
Col 1:16  For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Col 1:17  And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Christ is the image of God and all glory derives from Him and Him alone. In the flesh we have nothing to offer God the Father in and of ourselves, independent from Christ. Christ glorifies the Father through us, and by us He accomplishes all the Father has sent Him to do. He is living and breathing in us now. This is eating the meat that is cloven-footed and chews the cud. This is being united in going the same direction by two witnesses and feeding on the flesh of our own carnal mind and on the carnal world. We know from the witness of the truth of humanity, that all is dead and without knowledge of truth. Because we have this knowledge, it acts as a food to us, as a meat, a clean meat to eat.

It is fairly easy to see what man will do, because man operates on the split hoof principle, they agree that they are one hoof, yet they are separated/split and have their own unique way of getting to truth, independent from their Creator. They see themselves as gods, independent from the God. This knowledge is them having a split hoof but not chewing the cud. They cannot understand truth because they are blinded from it by their own desires to be god, to be their own creators. Mankind believes from birth that they are themselves gods and believe that whatever wisdom they have, they have because they have used their own understanding to obtain that wisdom. Very few make the bold statement to actually say the words that they are gods, but that does not matter because they say it in their hearts. We all have in some way other said in our hearts that we are God.

Isa 14:12  How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
Isa 14:13  For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Isa 14:14  I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

These verses speak of the unclean beast we are from birth and as a whole race of people, united in the first Adam. We walk the same way, self glorifying as a split hoof, yet we do not feed off what we are from God's point of view, but, we feed off what we think we are from our point of view. We forget what manner of people we are.

Jas 1:24  For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

We start off being shown the truth...

Rom 1:19  Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
Rom 1:20  For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

...And quickly descend into claiming the truth as from us and not Christ.

Rom 1:21  Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23  And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

We do not set our hope in Christ as our Creator but in ourselves, we are not, as fleshly beings, chewing the cud of what we are. We turn from the truth and worship ourselves. All of Christianity has a split hoof. They claim they are saved by Christ but say their salvation from death comes from their freewill belief. They claim themselves as capable of freeing themselves from death by their own choices that they make independent and separate from Christ, and in doing so they are claiming themselves as Christ, but they are anti-Christ.

1Jn 4:2  Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

1Jn 4:3  And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

It is easy to expose who someone is by their confession. If they confess that Christ is in them, and it is by Christ coming into their heavens upon His ascension that they know truth, they are of God. However, if they confess that Christ did not come into their flesh and they made a conscientious decision, from their own heavens independent from Him, they are anti-Christs. They are unclean beasts, and we should not receive anything from them as edible. They are unclean because they have not chewed the cud, feasted on themselves through the knowledge of Christ about what they are from birth, sin (Rom 3:10-20).  They are united in the flesh to their father the Devil (Joh 8:44). They are what our scriptures today call swine. They will eat anything that comes from their flesh as theirs, and they will feed on anything that comes from other swine. They wallow in their own works of the flesh, wallow in the mud, and eat whatever is put before them spiritually. Their glory is in themselves, and in themselves they take credit for all that they think they are.

Pro 11:22  As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.

The woman is the false church who credits all that Christ has done as her works, made by her and from her.

Isa 65:1  I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my name.
Isa 65:2  I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;
Isa 65:3  A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick;
Isa 65:4  Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine's flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;
Isa 65:5  Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day.

I remember a so-called pastor who said he would not talk to people who were in sin because he was too holy to mix with them. He said they were unclean and he was clean, just like the verse above said. I am exposed by Christ when I call people "idiots" for the way I see them behave. In calling them names in my heart, I am being exposed for being the hypocrite my carnal mind is in itself. It forgets what I have been saved from and acts as though it is better than others. It is the inward fulfillment of this verse;

Rev 11:7  And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
Rev 11:8  And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

The false witness against those in the world by the beast that has ascended out of my bottomless pit of darkness and has gathered my old man to follow, has overcome the witness that the scriptures have testified of myself and those in the world. When it says these witnesses are overcome, are killed and their dead bodies lay in the street of that great city called Sodom and Egypt, it is speaking of the false doctrines that contradict the truth and of which all the world in me follows. The truth in me is killed by the doctrines I follow, not by literally killing someone.

1Jn 3:15  Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

My old man hates his brother Christ, as Esau hated Jacob. The hate of the doctrines of Christ is how we are overcome and killed and lay in the streets of that great city, essentially Babylon, and all religions.

Rev 17:18  And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

The woman represents all unclean beasts, the complete beast which she sits upon and testifies it is the completion of the flesh by her wicked works. Seven being the number for the complete beast she and her followers represent and ten being the number for the completion of the flesh, testified by the law of the flesh and making all are completely unclean. They are unclean because they do not believe that Christ has come into their flesh but have been overtaken by the false doctrine of their freewill.

Rev 17:3  So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

This is an evil that my new man contends with when killing the old man daily. Christ exposes these thoughts and reminds the flesh what it is by nature. Unless He were to separate me from the world, I would be covered in mud from wallowing in my own self-righteousness. My flesh is a swine. It is unclean and unholy. It cares for no one but itself at all times. It has no pity, it has no shame, and if left to itself it would devour itself, it would cannibalize itself.

Psa 80:8  Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.
Psa 80:9  Thou preparedst room before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land.
Psa 80:10  The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars.
Psa 80:11  She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river.
Psa 80:12  Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her?
Psa 80:13  The boar [swine] out of the wood doth waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it.
Psa 80:14  Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;
Psa 80:15  And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself.

If left to myself and given any knowledge at all, I would become the worst of the worst. The most unclean beast there is on the earth is the beast that believes he has made himself clean as a god. All that we have been, are or will be comes from our Creator Jesus Christ. Anything less than that in thought is unclean, unholy and food for swine.

Joh 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2  The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh 1:4  In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Joh 1:5  And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

We know that we are all made by God. All of Christendom says that we are God's creation, but what they confess as being creations and what we are from creation are two different things. They are split-hooved, but do not chew the glory of God but the glory of man. They are "forked tongue"; they are going in different directions from the truth. Babylon sits upon all of us in the flesh and makes us complete in her, even though she has the ten commandments, as horns thrusting out of her head, constantly testifying against her, she still flaunts her beauty as from her. She hangs them in her courts, in her schools, in her homes, yet they testify against her, not for her as she tries to pretend.

Rev 17:16  And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
Rev 17:17  For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

The truth exposes us for what we are from creation, and we do not like that testimony.

Joh 3:19  And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Joh 3:20  For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
Joh 3:21  But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

"This is condemnation"..."men loved darkness rather than light"...because their "deeds were evil". We love our own glory (grass) because we want to be as God, to claim we know good from evil. But how is it possible for something created evil to know good? This is the testimony of the ten horns that HATE the whore.

Jer 13:23  Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.

This verse has some hidden gold in it that I had never seen until today. Remember last week we covered the word "Hiphil"- H8818 and that it meant;

usually expresses the "causative" action of Qal-See [H8851]
he caused to eat
he caused to come
he made king

Today in this verse we are shown the same thing. The causative action is that God created a leopard with spots as God created us "accustomed to do evil". He is showing in this verse that He is the causative action that has made us what we are, and unless we see this we will continue to be spotted, or for the sake of our scriptures today, an unclean beast. The word "accustomed" means;

לִמֻּד    לִמּוּד
limmûd    limmûd
lim-mood', lim-mood'
From H3925; instructed: - accustomed, disciple, learned, taught, used.
Total KJV occurrences: 6

Unless some protector of God's glory sniffs at the idea that we are "accustomed, discipled, learned, taught and used" to do evil by God, let's read these verses where this word is used as God as the causative action of good or evil.

Isa 50:4  The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learnedH3928, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learnedH3928

Isa 8:16  Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciplesH3928

Isa 54:13  And all thy children shall be taughtH3928 of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.

Jer 2:24  A wild ass usedH3928 to the wilderness, that snuffeth up the wind at her pleasure; in her occasion who can turn her away? all they that seek her will not weary themselves; in her month they shall find her.

And then the obvious new testament witness;

Joh 8:44  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

He was a murderer from the beginning because he was created a liar from the beginning.

We learned from God, we are disciples of God, we are taught of God, and we are used to the wilderness by God because He is the causative effect that makes us what we are in any eon/age.

Rom 9:16  So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. [He and He alone is the causative action that makes us hardened to reject the truth or softened to receive the truth]
Rom 9:17  For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
Rom 9:18  Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.

The camel, the hare and the coney chew the cud but do not have the witness in them. They are not cloven-footed. They cannot see themselves as created unclean and then created clean, both actions by the Creator. The swine have a split hoof and confess that they need a savior, but then eat all that comes from themselves for salvation from their condition. They wallow in the their own glory and chew not the cud. We are both animals from creation in the first Adam. We are the camel, the hare, the coney and the swine. We are all of them in our own time and unclean like them. We are all the results of the causative action in creation by our Creator. We are what we are, blind and dumb from the causative action of our Creator, or we are the hearing and seeing by the causative action of our Creator.

Exo 4:11  And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?

Rom 14:7  For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
Rom 14:8  For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
