"They That See Might Be Made Blind" John 9: 39-41
Hi K____,Hey Mike, I would ask how things are going but..... isn't that how all emails start out. I'm sure that whatever God is putting you through it's nothing compared to the blessings that he has in store for those that love Him. I have to say though my journey although not over is a wonderful experience.
The other night me and my wife were spending some time with a friend of mine and his wife from work and we got on the subject of the Word. I was careful this time though I didn't initiate the conversation. To make the long story short it ended with his wife saying, "I guess me and my husband just believe what the scripture says, we take it at face value." Which I took this to mean that she only believes in the literal words. I didn't say much to this though to be honest I laughed inside myself. I immediately thought about the beast coming out of the sea. They actually believe this will literally happen. I then thought "man, they believe also that some man in the future will set up his throne in Jerusalem, cause peace on earth, the end will come."
I tell you this not to say, "oh, look how foolish these people are", and I believe that it is by God's grace, that I can say this. I really saw how sinful and worthless I am and was in the flesh. I believed the exact same thing, but I was "saved by grace through Faith" and not my faith, but "it is a gift from God." It was a very humbling experience for me one that I was strengthened by as well as learned from. I feel fortunate that Christ has saw fit for me to progress toward maturity.
And on another note, I have to say that besides the audios on the sacrifices, the ones on the Colors is by far some of the heartiest meat that Christ has lain in front of me to date. I actually had to listen over, over and over to get all the info that was in those. And finally, when will y'all be coming to Dallas, Tx again? My mother as well as I would love to be there when you do. If it isn't planned, what would it take to make this happen?
As always, Mike, great to hear from you. I want to say thankyou for my mother as,well; she wanted me to tell you that she has grown sooooo much.
Later, K____
Thank you for your letter. It is always interesting to hear how God's spirit is working in the lives of those who are seeing and hearing the voice of the True Shepherd.
It does me so much good to hear that you are enjoying the audios. I am glad too, that your mother is getting involved and growing in the Lord.
The reaction you described from your friends is so very typical of those who do not know the voice of the True Shepherd of the sheep. It is interesting how our Babylonian minds just automatically decide what is and what is not figurative in the book of Revelation. It is done without thought, according to what we have been taught by our Babylonian teachers. I never thought that the seven-headed beast was literal, but I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt the the lake of fire was literal, and to this day I cannot tell you exactly how I 'knew' that.
We are all blessed to be given the knowledge God is giving us. Let us always be aware that this is done at the expense of those who are not being chosen:
Rom 11:30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
...and let us never forget what is the purpose for being chosen:
Rom 11:31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.Let us never forget that it is all of Him and nothing of us:
Rom 11:32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.Where was that verse 32 all those years I was still in Babylon? Surely it wasn't right after verse 31 all that time. I must have been blind!
Mike
