The Great Winepress of The Wrath of God
Updated March 26, 2012 to fit TOA
Mike,
I thought you might find it interesting:
There are only two places in the Book of Revelation that we can find mention of the Son of man. The first-Rev 1:13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
Rev 1:14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
Rev 1:15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
Rev 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.- in the midst of the seven candlesticks, which represent the entire church, where he is about to pronounce judgment upon them individually and corporately as follows in detail for the next two chapters. From this judgment comes he who overcomes.
The second -
Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Rev 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.
Rev 14:14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
Rev 14:15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
Rev 14:16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.
Rev 14:17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
Rev 14:18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.
Rev 14:19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
Rev 14:20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.- is like unto the first where we find Him upon a white cloud (he who overcomes) where He is about to thrust his sharp sickle in the earth and reap. This too appears to be judgment as we see messengers (angels) with sickle and fire gathering of the vine of the earth, clusters of grapes to be cast into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
Now in the book of John our Lord tells us of Himself: For the Father judges no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son. Joh 5:22
And He tells us why: And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Joh 5:27Thus is the Son of man revealed in two judgments:
Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:S____
Eph 2:3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
That is really revealing. Thanks for sharing it with me.
