The Disciple Must Be As His Master

Thanks for your concern and prayers. It doesn't seem I can handle all the turn of events. Judas was in the midst and a close friend as you stated would happen.With family turned against me and my wife's position is that she can't receive or believe anything from me.
And my wife accused me of trying to force truths down her throat and her daughter and that my speaking of God deceiving and blinding those called is not a God of fairness, etc. I shared what Jesus said in answering why He spoke in parables. He meant it for the few (disciples ) and not the multitudes. It is right there. But that is ignored. And she said I have tried to force this teaching down them. This is not true at all. I have spoken about it and my wife appeared to be open, so I opened up. She seemed to be receptive over the months. She has now threatened divorce, and the whole thing just blew me away.
Today it is a difficult day for me. To be honest with you I don't think I have what it takes to be an elect. I would settle for the lake of fire. I have no choice. I don't care to discuss these things God has revealed to me through the years. I just need a break and go into a shell. You may not agree, but with all the happenings and untruths spoken - I see no way to clear it up. There are some blind people around. Yes, I am and have been blind as well. But I am sorry I don't have what it takes to endure all this. Jesus did say these things would happen. But they are just words until one experiences everyone and even your family turn on you speaking lies. And it is spreading like wildfire that I am divisive and causing disunity.
I understand the strategy from the pit. One attacks the person personally. Then that discredits anything coming out of his mouth. Even if it is true. I think you know what I mean. I look at Paul. Look at what he did to the true church of God. He persecuted and killed many believers. And then he was converted. Weren't some bringing up his past to discredit him. I could see it. How could you listen to Paul speaking about the Lord, love and truth and etc and ignore what he did in the past by killing Christians.

I have been where you are. It was not that long ago. The reason I underwent that trial was for the purpose of consoling and encouraging you at this time. Our choices are not free, but we still must make hard choices. Will you follow your wife, or will you lead her. That is what is being determined at this point. If you follow your wife, you will lose her. If you follow Christ and lead your wife, you will win her. It may not be in this life, but it will be done:
1Co 7:14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
You say that it seems that you "cannot handle the turn of events." That is something we must all come to accept. I do not know whether you are elect of God or not. What I do know is that you will never be able to deny Christ and His Word and have any peace of mind. You will never be able to deny what God has shown you to be His mind. The Lord is showing you that you cannot handle your life. It is He who is handling it even when it seems out of control. It is not out of control. This is all His Work:
Eph 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
You may indeed pull into a shell for a while. If that is what happens, that too, will be what He is working for the moment. Peter and six other apostles did so even after Christ's resurrection:
Joh 21:2 There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.
Joh 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.
This is the story of Christ asking Peter if Peter loved Him. He asked him three times, and Peter was distraught. But our Lord wanted Peter to consider the depth of His dedication. That is what Christ is doing with you at this point.
The outcome of this trial was known before the world began. You already know that the lake of fire is not the easy way out. The words "give her double" are just as applicable then as they are now. We cannot deny our Lord. The Lord is still there. This is all for this purpose:
2Co 1:3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
2Co 1:4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
2Co 1:5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
2Co 1:6 And whether we be afflicted, [it is] for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, [it is] for your consolation and salvation.
2Co 1:7 And our hope of you [is] stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.
2Co 1:8 For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:
2Co 1:9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:
2Co 1:10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;
Don't throw in the towel just yet. My prayers are with you in this, your time of trial. He will yet deliver you, that you may be able to console others.
