Studying and How to Use TOA
Posted September 1, 2010
Hello Mike,
I just love your web site and am learning so much. I recently purchased the Englishman's Greek Concordance of the New Testament by George Wigram. This would not have been possible if I had not read on your site about study aids. The biggest change and what I am learning is this; to pray and read and wait and read and study and ask questions but not make assumptions. I believe, as you also testify, that it is God and God alone who decides what I can see and hear. The scriptures are so alive to me, and yet I am much quieter. I honestly want to study to be approved of God and to be able to answer for the hope within me. You have no idea how encouraging your site is. The Lord bless you and your obedience to Him. Again thank you!!

Hi S____,
Thank you for such a wonderful spirit of humility and gratitude. This is the spirit Christ spoke of when He said this:
Mat 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 18:4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Those words apply to me as much as they do to you or anyone else. If any of us approach God's word with our minds already made up, we will not be great in the kingdom of heaven.
I am so encouraged to know that you have obtained a Wigram's Concordance. You will never regret doing that. You are just beginning to get acquainted with God and Jesus whom He has sent to us.
I want to encourage you to download and use e-sword. It is the one link I have on iswasandwillbe.com. It is on the right side of the home page. When and if you do so, then you need to download Dave Rogers's TOA module which gives you the capability of finding every letter on the IWWB site with any scripture your cursor is on. If you open e-sword and highlight the TOA module, and place your cursor on 1Co 15:22...
1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
...the TOA module will have a little 'thought balloon' in it if that verse has ever been quoted on the site, and all of the letters and their titles will appear in a box below the TOA box in the upper right corner of e-sword. Then, if you highlight the TOA module box in the lower left box on e-sword and right click on the number assigned to that letter in the box on the right of e-sword, the entire letter will appear in the lower left box. I use it to answer routine questions and many others use the TOA module to search the site for all the letters on any given subject.
I am so grateful that you are encouraged by the work so many are doing to keep this site up and going.
Your brother in Christ,
Mike
