Grateful But Feeling Inadequate
Posted March 9, 2009
Hi Mike,
This is a not question email, but a note of thanks for your constant service and to all those who help. Thank You!
In Christ always your Sister,
As I study each morning catching up with the Revelation study, I am so humbled at the understanding that has been blessed to me from the sharing of your understanding!
I am going through feelings of such inadequacy and things I can't even quite put into words yet. Of all the long years of struggling to understand His Word.... finally here they are opening faster than I can even believe. Each year (about 5 yrs now) I have studied with you has been a wow! I get it, and I looked at people so differently....little by little. But now it's much bigger pieces of understanding, and it makes me so very humble and a little afraid. Do I really get it?
Anyway, Mike someday my family and I hope to actually meet and hug you and your family, until then most Sunday mornings will have to do. I still haven't gotten that microphone...so many things keep popping up that my mind doesn't remember as I go by Radio Shack.

Hi C____,
Thanks for your kind and encouraging words. Your "feelings of inadequacy" are common to us all simply because we are inadequate of ourselves. It takes Christ growing in us day by day as the old man dies day by day. It takes enduring to the end to be saved.
Joh 3:30 He must increase, but I [must] decrease.
1Co 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
So be patient and remember that we all must "live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God." Even the first Adam is a necessary evil, and yet a vital part of "the revelation of Jesus Christ." It is an essential part of "every word" and "the things written therein."
Mat 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Rev 1:3 Blessed [is] he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time [is] at hand
So there is a time to feel inadequate and to realize that it really is Christ who is working all things after the counsel of His own will, which will is the will of His Father.
Sandi and I also look forward to the day when we will be able to meet you and your husband and children.
Your brother in Christ.
Mike
