Appreciation for Understanding God's Sovereignty
Posted July 23, 2009
Dear Mr. Vinson,
I apologize for the delay is writing to thank you for the time you have taken to reply to me. I am sincerely sorry for this and ask your forgiveness. What you stated in your reply was a true blessing to me, and really helped to open my eyes to the degree of God's sovereignty in my life and the lives of all people. It is something the carnal mind does not want to accept. When I stopped visiting the IWWB site about 1 1/2 years ago it was for this very reason. I was not in the place where I could see it as I can now. I was very angry at what I was being shown, and the beast would rise up in me each time I heard of such a thing as "all" and "everything" being part of God's overall plan. Somehow over time He has worked on me and brought me to a place now where I can see clearer and admit that I too, am capable of every sin of every man. He has His own way of humbling each of us, and I feel the fire many times to a degree I can hardly bear. He has brought me to a place where I can honestly say I am powerless over all things, be it people, places, situations, etc. Without Him I don't even draw the next breath. I can see that I haven't known what was best for me, and am certainly in no position to say what is best for others. He is truly doing it all "according to the counsel of His own will". That is a blessed truth to the spiritual man, but impossible for the carnal man to accept.
Of course I struggle with my flesh and carnal mind, but just having that knowledge of the truth that He is totally sovereign and all of it was predestined to happen is a comfort. All of this has truly worked for the good, and I have been studying and reading all that I can absorb from the blessed IWWB site. Just a few weeks ago I was so miserable that I had no desire whatsoever to continue living. Now I feel I just can't get enough knowledge and wisdom of the truth presented at the site. My deepest thanks to you Mr. Vinson, and to all there who make this wonderful site what it is. I realize it's all of God of course, and at the same time realize that He is working through you people to bring the truth out of the scriptures. I feel so blessed to know that I can thank Him for all things and understand what that means. So much of what the Scriptures say has cleared up because of what I've been brought to learn from the site.

Once again I thank you, Mr. Vinson, for all that you do, and especially for the time you took at such a late hour to reply to my letter. Thank you for helping me to understand God's sovereignty. My prayer is that God enable you to continue what you do for His glory.
